I've been with Realty ONE Group (ROG) for 8 years. What originally attracted me to the ROG was the commission structure ... the fee per transaction, as opposed to the percentage split, model simply more profitable, for most agents, than just about any other brokerage. What's kept me here is the culture. I like working with other positive agents that get to grow and run their business as they see fit. I also appreciate that the company values the contribution of ALL agents and treats ALL of their agents well. Because ROG isn't dependent on a few top producers to keep the lights on, they have no incentive to play favorites. Training and systems have dramatically improved in the last 3 to 4 years, but still some room for improvement.

Pros of ROG: 1) Simple to understand, pro-agent commission plan! You don't have to jump through hoops to maximize your earnings. 2) Positive environment where agents help each other and share their learnings. 3) All the tech and training support other companies talk about. The level marketing support can vary by ROG branch.

Cons of ROG: 1) If you want the broker to provide a lot of administrative support, ROGs generally are going to disappoint you. 2) No stock or revenue share plans, if this is important to you.

Who's ROG best for? In my market (very high cost, low volume market ... average producing agent does about 3 transactions per year), agents producing between about 2 and 25 transaction. They want as much of their commission as possible without having to jump through hoops or be dependent on the actions of others. You want to take your money and use it as you see fit.

The level of teamwork overall in the brokerage is really appreciated. Also, I have excellent access to my brokers and my mentor! Any time I have a question or a problem I receive help almost immediately, it’s terrific! ROGP rocks!!! Come see for yourself!

But I do have one suggestion. Some of the instruction classes like social media and sales could be better organized, I’m not saying all classes are disorganized just sometimes.

My favorite thing about ROGP is that it very much feels like a small boutique brokerage but with the support of a larger company. I have direct contact with my broker, Karlyn and she is always responsive, helpful and supportive! Karlyn is wonderful to work with. She has helped coach me thru growing myself and planning for the future of my business. The fee/splits are very competitive and there are options to choose the right one for your experience/needs.

I seriously have no complaints. Systems are always a learning curve but that is the same with every brokerage I’ve been with.

There are two offices. One in Buda and one is South Austin. But all agents are connected with a shared FB page and many work together and cover each other.

It is the best decision I ever made. They have a lot of training and support. And if you are starting out they offer mentoring program for new agent. With over 30 years of real estate under our belt and used to working as a 100% agent, we were sad when our long time broker decided to sell out to a competitor. Unfortunately, that broker was very controlling and took a large part of our commission check. Not good. After 3 years with that broker, which I call "the corporate bully", we started interviewing companies. One of those companies was Realty One Group. We sat down and talked with Ron, and immediately felt at home. We had not had that feeling with any other broker. Making the switch to Realty ONE Group was the best thing I could have done for my business and the timing was impeccable. I made the change during the height of the pandemic and was blown away by the engagement of our corporate office to keep us positive during trying and uncertain times. We GREW as a company over the height of the pandemic which speaks volumes to how this company takes care of their agents. I not only get great training on how to be a fantastic agent, but I also receive invaluable training on growth to be a better and stronger version of myself...that's the rub. Home SWEET Home is not just for the home buyer, it also is the best way to share my ONE reason I am still with ROG. They say 1st is the worst, 2nd is the best BUT 3rd times the charm! I made the decision in August to leave a previous brokerage that is respected for their technological advances when I realized Realty One Group has the same (and functional) products and only costs me a flat rate per transaction. Once I switched, everything improved. I had a real team of support staff that I could go to with any questions I had, a Facebook group with friendly and incredibly helpful agents, a broker who was there for his agents, and technology that worked!
