Need to get your real estate license in South Carolina? I’ve spent over 155 hours evaluating the 10 most popular courses approved by the South Carolina Real Estate Commission. I’ve checked out each and every course, and there are clear winners and losers – so be sure to read my guide thoroughly!

5 Best Real Estate Schools in South Carolina

What did I evaluate?
TX Online Screenshot (1)

I looked at the 5 most important factors for each course, including course value, ease of use, unique features, student satisfaction, and pass rates.

I also took into account thousands of online reviews from other agents who have attended the courses. Each course is different, so I’ve included video walkthroughs so you can really understand what you’re getting. My video reviews include my opinions too (I promise, they’re short and sweet).

How’d I do it? I “secret-shopped” each and every course in South Carolina. I got access to the courses, I contacted their support team as if I were an active student, and I took a look at the content. These South Carolina real estate schools may appear to be really similar when you’re first taking a look, but trust me – as probably the ONLY person who has actually evaluated all these South Carolina courses – they are very, very different!

A bit about Pass Rates:

You’ll see me refer to Pass Rates in my article – these are estimated using a variety of sources – pass rates directly from the providers, estimations from other states where providers operate in multiple states, and user-reported qualitative information.

Alright, let’s get to it…After spending hundreds of hours evaluating each course and taking into account all these factors, I have narrowed down the list to the 5 best online real estate schools in South Carolina. Here they are!

Best Online Real Estate School in South Carolina: AceableAgent

A+
Top Features: Super high pass rates, best-in-class test prep, engaging content
Starting at $569 $479

When it comes to South Carolina real estate schools, Aceable’s course stands out as my personal favorite. If you’re looking to avoid tedious content, this is the perfect course for you. With its impressive track record of high pass rates, it offers you the greatest chance of success.

In terms of pricing, Aceable’s course falls somewhere in the middle—not the most expensive, nor the cheapest. However, due to its exceptional quality and success rates, I consider it the best overall real estate course in South Carolina. Additionally, there is a sale going on right now, which adds to its appeal.

Unlike other courses, even the most affordable package offered by Aceable is enough to get the job done. However, I highly recommend the “Deluxe” package for the level of preparedness it provides, giving you confidence as you walk in to take the test.

See Pricing

Convenience: 4.7 out 5. I was thoroughly impressed by the captivating content offered in Aceable’s course. Their multimedia learning approach, which incorporates videos, interactive games, infographics, and knowledge checks, truly stood out. This engaging mix kept me actively involved throughout the entire 90-hour course, which I found highly enjoyable. Unlike many other schools that rely heavily on traditional reading, Aceable’s method effectively broke away from the tedium and made it easier for me to absorb the material. When compared to other leading South Carolina schools such as The CE Shop or Colibri, Aceable emerged as the clear winner, with none of the others even coming close.

In addition to the exceptional content, the mobile app provided by Aceable proved to be a game-changer. It allowed me to study on-the-go, which significantly helped me manage my time effectively. The convenience and flexibility provided by the app made a huge difference in my overall learning experience, ensuring that I could study whenever and wherever it was most convenient for me.

Pass Rate: 5 out 5. Aceable has achieved an impressive pass rate of 91% among South Carolina students, which is truly remarkable. In comparison, many other schools in the region tend to hover around the 51% range. Aceable’s exceptional pass rate sets it apart from other leading South Carolina schools, making it an outstanding choice for prospective students. When selecting a real estate school, the pass rate is undeniably one of the most critical metrics to consider. Opting for a school with a high pass rate provides a significantly better chance of successfully passing the exam and achieving one’s goals in the real estate industry. Aceable’s track record for student success further solidifies its reputation as a top-notch education provider.

Course Duration: 4.5 out of 5. The South Carolina real estate course is known for being a tedious one, requiring 90 total hours to complete. This is broken into two different mini courses (a 60-Hour Unit I Salesperson Pre-licensing Course and a 30-Hour Unit II Advanced Real Estate Principles Course). Due to this, students often prefer to have additional time available in case they encounter busy schedules or other commitments. However, compared to schools like The CE Shop or Colibri Real Estate, Aceable’s extension policy is relatively less generous. If the course is not completed within 12 months, Aceable offers an option to extend access for an additional 6 months at a cost of $49. It’s important to note that the time limit may not be a significant concern for most students, as the majority typically finish the course within 5-6 weeks. In fact, with focused effort, it is possible to complete the course in as little as 3 weeks.

Support:4.8 out of 5. Aceable’s customer support team is truly exceptional and provides a top-notch experience. Whenever I had a question or needed assistance, they were prompt in their responses, and their support was consistently helpful. I especially appreciate the availability of chat support, which allows for quick resolution of inquiries without the need to wait on the phone or listen to hold music. Additionally, it’s worth noting that Aceable’s customer support team is based in the United States, ensuring smooth communication without language barriers.

However, it is important to consider that Aceable’s technical support team may not be as active or responsive during weekend hours. If you plan to dedicate your Saturdays or Sundays to completing coursework, it is something to keep in mind. While their customer support remains reliable during weekdays, the availability of support on weekends may be more limited.

Refund Policy: 4.7 out of 5. Although I did not personally require a refund, it is worth noting that Aceable offers a generous 30-day refund policy if the course has not been completed. This is a standard practice, and similar refund policies can be found with other schools such as The CE Shop and RealEstateU. However, Aceable goes the extra mile with their Ace or “Don’t Pay” Guarantee, which provides additional peace of mind. With this guarantee, if you complete the course but do not pass the exam, you will not be required to pay for the course again. In comparison, other providers may charge an additional fee, often around $49 or more, for a similar feature. Aceable’s guarantee sets them apart by offering this benefit without any additional costs.

Overall Value & Recommended Package: Overall, I highly recommend Aceable’s South Carolina pre-licensing course. For new agents, I’d suggest taking a look at the Deluxe package. The extra perks like the 75 videos & audio lessons and PrepAgent Deluxe Exam Prep make it a good value. You don’t want to have the take the South Carolina real estate exam twice, so you might as well go in with the best option in the market to really prepare you, if your budget allows it.

Easiest Online Real Estate School: The CE Shop

A
aceable logo
Top Features: Free trial offer, high exam pass rate, self-scheduling flexibility
Starting at $599 $449

The CE Shop’s course in South Carolina is renowned for its clarity and ease of comprehension. It is widely regarded as one of the most accessible and easiest courses to grasp in the state of South Carolina. If you are uncertain about enrolling in the course, The CE Shop’s offer of a five-day free trial makes it an obvious choice. This trial period allows you to evaluate the course before making a full commitment.

When it comes to affordability, The CE Shop offers excellent value for your investment. While it may be slightly more expensive than RealEstateU’s course, the superior quality and variety of package options make it a superior choice.

Plus, this is one of the courses available for our Tuition Reimbursement program, which is a big help. All you have to do is attend at least 1 interview with one of our recruiters (+ provide feedback) after passing the state exam & before joining another brokerage, and we’ll reimburse you for the entire cost of the course that you purchase from us.

Just like Aceable, the cheapest package will do – though I’d recommend the “Premium” package. The perks of the Pass Guarantee alone make it worth the extra cost.

See Pricing

Convenience: 4.8 out 5. The CE Shop excels with its user-friendly interface that seamlessly adapts to multiple devices. This seamless transition from computer to tablet, without any concerns about progress saving, enhances the convenience and enjoyment of studying. The ability to study on the go without any inconvenience is a significant advantage.

The dashboard feature of The CE Shop is particularly impressive. It provides an intuitive overview of your course progress, allowing you to easily skip ahead or review previous sections as needed. This flexibility makes studying convenient, especially when you need to refresh your understanding of a specific topic.

When it comes to content, The CE Shop strikes a great balance by offering a diverse range of learning materials. These include engaging videos, informative slideshows, helpful audio recordings, and interactive quizzes. While there is some reading involved, the inclusion of video recaps at the end of each section provides a valuable summary of the key points.

Pass Rate: 4.7 out 5. The CE Shop in South Carolina maintains an impressive pass rate of 66% among its students, which is highly commendable. While it may not be the highest pass rate in the state, it significantly surpasses the average pass rate. In contrast to many other real estate schools that didn’t make our list and have pass rates below 50%, The CE Shop’s pass rate stands out as a noteworthy achievement.

One of the key factors contributing to The CE Shop’s success is its provision of unlimited practice tests. Students have the valuable opportunity to take as many practice tests as they need. These practice tests offer valuable feedback, highlighting areas that require further review before attempting the test again. By focusing on their areas of weakness and improving their overall preparedness, students can increase their chances of passing the exam with confidence.

Course Duration: 4.6 out of 5. The South Carolina real estate course typically requires a total of 90 hours to complete, which may seem relatively short or perhaps not, depending on your perspective. However, having options available in case of any unforeseen issues or a busy schedule is always beneficial. Let’s take a closer look at The CE Shop‘s extension policy to help you understand it better.

Upon purchasing the course, you will have six months of access to the course materials. If you find that you need more time to complete the course, you can request a one-month extension at no additional cost. Beyond this initial extension, for each subsequent 30-day extension or partial 30-day extension, there is a fee of 20% of the current retail price of the course. This allows you to extend the course for a maximum of six months in total. Once this six-month extension period is reached, the course will expire, and no further extensions will be available.

Support: 4.6 out of 5. The support team at The CE Shop has several noteworthy advantages, although there are some areas where improvement could be made. One significant benefit is their availability 24/7, 365 days a year, which ensures that assistance is accessible whenever you need it. The support team is responsive across multiple channels, including email, phone, and live chat, allowing for prompt communication and quick resolution of technical issues.

However, in terms of content-related questions or inquiries regarding licensing requirements, it is worth noting that the support team may not possess the highest level of expertise. This suggests that there is room for improvement in this area, as providing more knowledgeable and comprehensive support in these aspects could enhance the overall customer experience.

Refund Policy: 4.8 out of 5. The standout feature of The CE Shop, which sets it apart from other real estate schools in South Carolina, is undoubtedly its 5-day free trial. This unique offering allows prospective students to enroll in the course, explore its content, and evaluate its suitability before making a full commitment. This level of flexibility and opportunity to assess the course’s fit is unmatched by any other real estate schools in the state.

Regarding the refund policy, The CE Shop’s approach is in line with industry standards. They provide a full refund within the first 30 days of enrollment, as long as you have not completed more than 50% of the course. This refund policy is similar to what other real estate schools like Aceable and Colibri offer, making it fair and reasonable. While it may not be a standout feature, it ensures that students have a reasonable period to evaluate the course and make an informed decision.

Overall Value & Recommended Package: Overall, I would recommend taking The CE Shop’s South Carolina pre-licensing course if you are looking for something that is easy to navigate. I’d suggest taking a look at the Premium package because the extra perks like the business building courses and downloadable resources make it worth the extra money. Those are things you can take with you after passing your exam and starting your career, so they will help you feel more prepared.

Most Flexible Real Estate School: Fortune Academy

A
Top Features: Four different delivery methods to choose from, extremely high pass rates
Starting at $618 $433

Setting itself apart from other real estate providers, Fortune Academy stands out by offering a unique selection of courses tailored for aspiring real estate agents in South Carolina. If you’re uncertain about the ideal delivery method for your needs, this is undoubtedly the course I would recommend.

At Fortune, you’ll benefit from the expertise of seasoned instructors, all at a price that remains affordable when compared to premium alternatives. Moreover, Fortune boasts a team of real estate professionals ready to address any industry-related inquiries around the clock, 24/7.

While its price point might lean towards the higher end compared to others on our list, it’s definitely worth the cost. Most schools that offer livestream capabilities, in-person classes, and a fully remote online option charge more, but Fortune is actually priced fairly. That, coupled with their unique delivery methods make it the most flexible real estate course in South Carolina.

See Pricing

Convenience: 4.5 out 5. Fortune Academy offers students a versatile learning experience with a range of formats to choose from, including livestream classes with live instructors for remote learning, self-paced online courses, and the highly favored in-person option where students attend classes at one of Fortunes’s locations, providing a traditional classroom environment for interaction with instructors and peers. And after listening to student feedback, they’ve even added a new interactive online course (gives students the best of both worlds!).

They are also one of the only real estate schools in South Carolina that offers flexible scheduling options. Classes are available during the day, at night, and on weekends, so you can choose from a variety of schedules that fit your convenience.

Fortune has also done a great job of working with other education providers to give students a number of in-person classrooms to choose from. They have locations in Aiken, Beaufort, Charleston, Denmark, Myrtle Beach, Orangeburg, Rock Hill, Greenville, Columbia, Greenwood, and Spartanburg.

The other great thing about taking classes through Fortune Academy. is their up-to-date content and platform.

Pass Rate: 4 out 5. Fortune has really impressive pass rates in South Carolina. Their courses have worked for thousands of students over the past 20 years, and they recognize that transparency is the best way to prove their success. 85% of Fortune students pass their exam on their first try. That’s why the school is constantly polling students to make sure that what they are teaching the right curriculum for students to not only pass the real estate exam, but also to succeed in their new career.

Course Duration: 4.4 out of 5. While South Carolina’s real estate course is only 90 hours, it can still pose a significant challenge for busy students, as it requires strict adherence to a 6-month timeline without the option for extensions; therefore, it’s crucial to find a course that accommodates your learning style. If flexibility is your priority, Fortune stands out as the top choice, but if you anticipate falling behind and facing an imminent course expiration, alternatives like Aceable or The CE Shop might be more suitable, as they allow you to complete 3-4 hours of coursework in a single session. If you choose the interactive courses, livestreaming option, or in-person classes with Fortune you are at the mercy of others. It’s something to keep in mind if you don’t have a lot of time to dedicate to your coursework.

Support:4.8 out of 5. Fortune’s customer support team is really great! They are available 24/7, and can be reached in a number of different ways. They have an advisor you can reach on the phone who can quickly pull up your profile if you need help with billing or technical issues.

However, I particularly enjoyed the live chat feature where I could easily message someone from the school with a question. I heard back in a matter of seconds, and was able to resume my studying without any stress or headaches.

Refund Policy: 4.3 out of 5. Fortune Academy offers a generous refund policy, allowing students to receive a full refund at no charge if they return the textbooks in their original condition and provide written notice before starting the course. Once the course has commenced, there is a 7-day window to withdraw and receive a refund, with a $200 fee and taxes deducted. While this policy is not uncommon, online alternatives such as The CE Shop and RealEstateU provide a longer 30-day refund period as long as the course is not completed, which may be beneficial for those who require more time to determine if real estate is the right career path for them.

Overall Value & Recommended Package: Taking everything into account, I would highly recommend Fortune’s South Carolina real estate course if you are looking for an in-person or livestream option with experienced instructors. For aspiring agents, I’d suggest looking at the livestream package. You can take virtual courses without having to worry about a commute, but also have the added benefits of attending events on the campus closest to you.

Quickest Online Real Estate School: RealEstateU

B+
realestateu
Top Features: Self-paced, affordable courses
Starting at $499 $399

RealEstateU is known for offering the most affordable real estate course in South Carolina, and its pricing reflects that. While it may not provide the most interactive learning experience, it is a cost-effective option for those on a budget.

One advantage of RealEstateU is the flexibility it offers in terms of course completion time. There are no time limits or restrictions on each lesson, allowing you to progress through the course at your own pace. This flexibility is why it is considered one of the quickest real estate schools in South Carolina.

If you are conscious of your budget and have limited funds to invest in a real estate course, RealEstateU can be a suitable choice. It allows you to study at your own pace, and the course can be accessed on the go, providing convenience.

It’s important to note that RealEstateU offers only one package, and it’s worth considering that the price does not include a textbook. Some students may find this inconvenient, as certain lessons may refer to specific pages in a textbook that is not included. If you wish to have a textbook, an additional cost of $25 is required.

With that said, this is one of the courses available for our Tuition Reimbursement program, which is a big help. All you have to do is attend at least 1 interview scheduled by an AgentAdvice recruiter after passing the state exam & before joining another brokerage, and we’ll reimburse you for the entire cost of the course that you purchase from us.

See Pricing

Convenience: 4.3 out 5. RealEstateU offers the convenience of online courses that can be accessed from various devices such as computers, smartphones, or tablets. This flexibility allows students to log on and study at their convenience, even while on the go. While the multimedia learning experience may vary depending on the state, in the case of the South Carolina course, it is more reading-intensive. Although there are some videos and infographics incorporated, the majority of the content consists of text sections followed by a real estate glossary.

After completing the course, RealEstateU provides the opportunity to take a practice test, which you were able to pass on your first attempt. This practice test can be a helpful tool in preparing for the actual licensing exam.

One notable feature of RealEstateU is their step-by-step checklist that guides you through the process of obtaining a real estate license. This checklist, accompanied by a progress bar, helps you stay motivated and track your progress as you navigate through the course and the licensing process.

Pass Rate: 4.2 out 5. RealEstateU’s pass rate among South Carolina students stands at 62%, which is lower compared to Aceable and The CE Shop. However, it is important to note that RealEstateU’s pass rate still exceeds the pass rates of more than 12 other online real estate schools, which have pass rates below 50%. To increase their chances of passing the exam on the first attempt, many students choose to purchase additional test prep materials at an extra cost. Investing in test prep can provide the confidence and knowledge needed to succeed in the exam, making it a worthwhile consideration for those aiming to pass on their first try.

Course Duration: 4.1 out of 5. RealEstateU has a relatively strict extension policy for their courses. If a student is unable to complete the course within 12 months, they would need to repurchase the course in its entirety. While this may initially seem like a harsh policy, it’s important to consider that RealEstateU offers their courses at a lower price compared to other providers. It’s a trade-off between affordability and the flexibility of an extended course access period. However, one drawback of this policy is that if a student exceeds the 12-month time frame, they would lose their progress and have to start the course from the beginning.

Support: 3.9 out of 5. RealEstateU’s customer support team has limited options for direct communication. They do not offer phone support or a live chat option, which can be inconvenient when encountering issues. Instead, users are directed to fill out a contact form on their website for assistance. However, it’s important to note that response times may vary, as indicated by your personal experience of not receiving a prompt reply to address the glitch you encountered. In such situations, users may need to log out and revisit the course at a later time when the issue has been resolved.

Refund Policy: 4.6 out of 5. While I didn’t personally need a refund, I understand that refund policies are important to many people, so I’ll provide an overview of RealEstateU’s policy. It’s worth noting that RealEstateU doesn’t provide free trials or money-back guarantees. However, they do have a 30-day refund policy for classes that are less than 50% completed. It’s important to be aware that a $20 deduction from the refund may be applicable, depending on the specific course enrolled in. This aligns with the standard refund policies offered by other real estate schools such as The CE Shop and Colibri Real Estate.

Overall Value: Overall, I wouldn’t say that RealEstateU’s South Carolina pre-licensing course is the best out there, but it does get the job done if you’re looking for a cheap price. For new agents, I’d suggest taking a look at Aceable’s exam prep option to pair with your REU course. This combo will allow you to fly through the lessons with RealEstateU, but also give you some practice exams so that you feel confident walking into the test.

Most Affordable Real Estate School (The CE Shop): Tuition Reimbursement

A+
aceable logo
Top Features: Easy way to get your real estate school paid for by someone else (us!) and know you have a brokerage you can join that’s dedicated to helping new agents build their real estate career.
Starting at $599 $449

We’ve built the most affordable way for you to get your Real Estate License. All you have to do is attend at least 1 interview with one of our recruiters after passing the state exam & before joining another brokerage, and we’ll reimburse you for the entire cost of The CE Shop course that you purchase from us.

1D3AA72C-23B7-4ED3-88DD-535B153D285B_4_5005_c

That’s right – we’ll reimburse you whether you choose to join our team or not (but we hope you do!).  About 50% of our tuition reimbursement graduates choose to work for our team after interviewing with us.  The other 50% of our tuition reimbursement students that choose to join another brokerage still get their course costs fully reimbursed.

Why are we the only real estate company that reimburses your course costs even if you don’t join our brokerage?  There are a few key reasons that we’ve decided to set our program this way:

  1.   Our 50% join rate is way higher than the industry average for recruiting, and we really want agents to be excited when they join us, which only works if they love what we have to offer.  Most brokerages only want experienced agents, but we specialize in helping new agents build their real estate careers from the ground up.  We have hundreds of agent training courses that range from helping you build out your social media presence to learning the ins and outs of commercial real estate; we have mentors dedicated to new agents to help them through their first sales; we even have a dedicated coach to help with mindset and motivation; and more.  So we don’t need to force new agents to join our team to save a few bucks.
  2.   If you choose to join another team, we also hope you change your mind someday and come back to join us.  Many agents reach out to us months or years after trying another brokerage first, and this gives us a chance to keep the door open for the 50% of new agents who don’t join us immediately.  If we can’t be the right brokerage for you right now, then we still hope to be the right brokerage for you some day in the future.
  3.   Too many real estate organizations fail to live up to their promises.  We’re not perfect, but we really try to follow-through on every promise we make, including our tuition reimbursement promise.

At the end of the day, we’re betting on you becoming a great agent, and if we can make obtaining your real estate license more affordable, then hopefully you’ll return the favor and join us after graduation or come back to us any time you’re ready for a new brokerage.  It’s that simple, and we’re happy to invest in you.

Get Started

How does the reimbursement work?

Email us (support@agentadvice.com) once you receive confirmation from the state that you’ve passed the state exam, and one of our recruiters will reach out to you to get to know you and share any and every thing you’ll want to know to decide if our brokerage is the right fit for you.

We’ll schedule the interview at a time that works for you.  All you have to do is attend the interview and provide a little feedback to our support team, and our support team will reimburse your credit card for the amount that you’ve paid us within 2 business days.  All in, it’s about an hour commitment between the interview and feedback.  No other strings attached.

Tip:  If you’ve already started a different course at your own expense, or prefer to pick your own school at your own expense, we’d still love to interview you.  Just reach back out when you’re licensed, and we can connect you with our hiring team, however, we’re unable to reimburse your course costs at this time unless you purchase the course directly from us.

AgentAdvice.com is not the provider of any courses, and all state certifications, ongoing support questions, etc. will be provided by and fulfilled directly through the school.

Think you have what it takes to be a successful real estate agent?

jim gray headshot“When I interview people who have just passed their real estate course, I’m looking for agents that meet a couple of characteristics. If you have these characteristics, it will determine who is successful and who is not in real estate.

It’s not an easy industry. If it was easy, we’d all be rich. First, I’m looking for agents that have a vision for what they want to be, people who want more than what they have. Now, I’m not talking about money, motivated people necessarily. If money motivates you that’s fine, but in most cases, money’s not the motivator.

I am looking for agents that are in touch with their motivations to grow. Is it having a house for your family? Is it providing an education for your children? Is it providing security for your future retirement? It doesn’t matter, I’m looking for agents that have a vision, and are passionate about taking care of present and future concerns, whatever they are. So that’s number one: ambition.

Financial,Concept.,Make,Money,On,The,Internet.,Businesswoman,Works,AtNumber two is looking for people that have a little bit of courage. This business requires courage. In my experience, having now been in conversations with well over a thousand agents over the last 18 months, and recruited more than a hundred, there’s one characteristic successful agents have. They don’t shrink from a challenge. They don’t, they still take action even if they don’t know all of the answers to all of the questions. They know that if they get faced with a question that they don’t really answer to, they know they can find the answer.

I’m looking for people that are ambitious, are courageous, and then finally are ready to grow. I want to help give people the opportunity to be the best version of themselves.

Usually, it’s not easy, and many times there are tears, and sweat, and frustration involved, but you go through that because you are so ambitious and in love with the future you’re trying to create. That passion for your future, it gives you courage to press through the hard times. So if you’re ambitious, courageous, and you’re ready to grow, and you think being in a conversation with a guy like me might be helpful to your future then let’s get you the tuition reimbursement you deserve!”

“I always wanted to become a real estate agent, and finally decided to take the next step. Getting started with my course was easy. Agent Advice just sent me a link, and I did the whole thing online. I finished the class, now I just need to get scheduled for the state test. I would definitely recommend Agent Advice to anyone looking to get their license, especially if they’re wanting to do it for free.”

New Real Estate Agent & Tuition Reimbursement Recipient

“I was moving from Tennessee to Florida, so I was considering a career change. I always thought real estate might be something I’d be good at, so I connected with someone at Agent Advice and decided to take the course. It was easy to follow and understand, and the course I chose kept me interested. It didn’t take long for me to finish the class and I passed my state exam on the first try! I then reached out again to Agent Advice and set up an interview with a tuition reimbursement sponsor, and got my money back that same day. All in all, it was really simple and easy.”

“The entire process was seamless, and the communication from the very beginning was great. When I first came across Agent Advice I had lots of questions, but I was able to get in touch with someone right away who helped explain the process from start to finish. Once I completed the course and set up an interview with a brokerage, they stopped the payments immediately. I also enjoyed the subscription payment option that Agent Advice has. It gave me the flexibility and motivated me to finish the course quickly. I’m still deciding on which brokerage is the right fit for me, but I enjoyed getting to interview with someone so that I could ask questions about what the day-to-day would look like at that company.”

Best Refund Policy: Colibri Real Estate

B
Top Features: Several packages to choose from, lots of practice exams
Starting at $726 $508

Colibri Real Estate’s is highly regarded for its customer-friendly refund policy, considered one of the best in South Carolina. Their Pass or Don’t Pay Guarantee ensures that students who do not pass the course will not be required to pay for it. This guarantee provides reassurance and eliminates financial concerns for those pursuing a career in real estate. Furthermore, Colibri Real Estate offers a course swap option, enabling students to switch to a different course within a specified time frame if their initial choice does not meet their expectations.

Another standout feature is the ability to demo the student dashboard before making a payment. This allows potential students to explore the platform, familiarize themselves with its features, and make an informed decision before committing financially.

While Colibri Real Estate’s course may be priced on the higher end, they offer three different package options, ranging from $508 to $726, catering to different needs and preferences. It’s worth noting that Colibri Real Estate frequently offers discounts and sales, providing valuable cost-saving opportunities for prospective students.

Convenience: 4.6 out 5. Colibri Real Estate’s course stands out with its unique “readiness assessment” feature. This assessment evaluates your level of preparedness for the licensing exam by providing a score ranging from 1 to 10. This score serves as a valuable guide to determine whether you should continue studying or if you’re ready to sign up for the exam. It helps you gauge your readiness and ensures that you approach the exam with confidence.

In addition to the readiness assessment, Colibri Real Estate’s courses offer a range of features and options to accommodate different learning styles and needs. The inclusion of coaching videos enhances the learning experience and provides additional guidance. The availability of premium features in the higher-priced packages allows students to access additional resources and support tailored to their individual requirements.

Overall, Colibri Real Estate’s courses provide a comprehensive and personalized learning experience, making use of innovative tools like the readiness assessment to ensure students are well-prepared for their licensing exams.

Pass Rate: 4.2 out 5. Colibri Real Estate has assisted over 500,000 aspiring agents in obtaining their real estate license, but it’s important to note that their pass rate among students is relatively average compared to other schools. With a pass rate of 54%, Colibri’s performance in terms of exam success falls within the middle range. While this pass rate is acceptable, there are other schools on the list with higher success rates.

When choosing a real estate school, it’s crucial to consider various factors such as pass rates, course features, and overall value. Opting for a school that provides comprehensive exam preparation can significantly increase your chances of success. By carefully evaluating these aspects, you can make a well-informed decision that suits your specific learning needs and budget.

Course Duration: 4.5 out of 5. For those looking to complete the South Carolina pre-licensing course within a specific timeframe, Colibri Real Estate offers flexible options to accommodate different schedules. While the course typically takes 90 hours to complete, Colibri provides the opportunity to extend your course access if needed.

Colibri’s extension policy allows you to purchase additional days of access, with options ranging from 7, 30, to 60 days. The cost increases depending on the duration of the extension. Additionally, there is a “retake” option available, which provides a $25 discount if you choose to start the course over.

Compared to other schools, Colibri Real Estate’s policy is considered fairly generous, providing students with the flexibility to extend their course access beyond the initial 6-month period. This ensures that individuals who may face unexpected circumstances or require more time to complete the course have options available to them.

Support: 4.6 out of 5. Colibri Real Estate has established itself as a reputable online real estate education provider, and their dedication to providing exceptional customer support further solidifies their reputation. They prioritize effective communication by offering various channels for students to connect with real people.

For enrollment and support-related inquiries, Colibri provides dedicated phone lines, ensuring that students can receive personalized assistance. In addition, their “live education specialist” is readily available through live chat, promptly addressing any questions or concerns raised by students.

Colibri Real Estate understands the importance of community engagement and utilizes social media platforms to foster a sense of connection among students. Their active presence on platforms like Facebook and Instagram allows students to stay informed about updates, such as scheduled maintenance, while also providing an avenue for students to connect with one another.

By offering multiple communication channels and actively engaging with students through social media, Colibri Real Estate demonstrates their commitment to providing comprehensive support and fostering a supportive learning community.

Refund Policy: 4.6 out of 5. Colibri stands out as an excellent option for students who value a robust refund policy. They have tons of safeguards to ensure that students have options in case they are unhappy with the course. For self-paced online courses, which are highly popular, students can receive a 100% refund if they decide they don’t like the course within the first week of enrollment. If the course has not been started yet, a full refund can be requested within a month.

For those who opt for the livestream package, there is a 24-hour window to change their mind and request a refund or switch to an online-only format. This flexibility allows students to make informed decisions and provides a safety net in case their circumstances or preferences change.

Overall Value & Recommended Package: I would recommend Colibri’s South Carolina pre-licensing course. For aspiring agents, I’d suggest taking a look at the Ultimate Learning package. The extra perks like the career success tools, the coaching videos, and the CompuCram Exam Prep make it a great value that will help you find success long after you finish your real estate course.

Honorable Mentions

We had a high bar in picking the best of the best real estate schools in South Carolina. These schools didn’t make the cut (frankly, they’re not as great as our top picks – but were also considered).

Our Methodology:

I ranked and rated each school on 8 different factors to come up with the very best real estate schools in South Carolina. Our full guide on how we rank courses is available here, but the short version of factors considered are:

  1. Course value
  2. How easy the courses were to navigate
  3. If there were any technical glitches
  4. Return policies
  5. Overall performance of each school as a whole
  6. Reviews directly from agents who’ve attended the school

There are dozens of options (some of them not so great!), so we’ve taken the work off your plate by narrowing down the list to only the ones that scored high enough. Whether you’re dedicating yourself full time to your new career, are looking to fly through the courses quickly to get them over with, or are busy and looking to work through them when you have downtime, here is a list of the best online real estate schools in South Carolina you should consider.
