Need to get your real estate license in Missouri? I’ve spent over 150 hours evaluating the 10 most popular courses approved by the Missouri Real Estate Commission. I’ve checked out each and every course, and there are clear winners and losers – so be sure to read my guide thoroughly!

5 Best Real Estate Schools in Missouri

What did I evaluate?
TX Online Screenshot (1)

I looked at the 5 most important factors for each course, including course value, ease of use, unique features, student satisfaction, and pass rates.

I also took into account thousands of online reviews from other agents who have attended the courses. Each course is different, so I’ve included video walkthroughs so you can really understand what you’re getting. My video reviews include my opinions too (I promise, they’re short and sweet).

How’d I do it? I “secret-shopped” each and every course in Missouri. I got access to the courses, I contacted their support team as if I were an active student, and I took a look at the content. These Missouri real estate schools may appear to be really similar when you’re first taking a look, but trust me – as probably the ONLY person who has actually evaluated all these Missouri courses – they are very, very different!

A bit about Pass Rates:

You’ll see me refer to Pass Rates in my article – these are estimated using a variety of sources – pass rates directly from the providers, estimations from other states where providers operate in multiple states, and user-reported qualitative information.

Alright, let’s get to it…After spending hundreds of hours evaluating each course and taking into account all these factors, I have narrowed down the list to the 5 best online real estate schools in Missouri. Here they are!

Best Online Real Estate School in Missouri: The CE Shop

A+
aceable logo
Top Features: Self-scheduling flexibility, high exam pass rates
Starting at $279 $209

The CE Shop’s course stands out as my top choice for online real estate education in Missouri. If you’re unsure about which course format is right for you, I highly recommend The CE Shop. They offer a range of packages with various features, allowing you to customize your learning experience to match your preferences.

In terms of affordability, The CE Shop offers the most competitive pricing in Missouri, making it an excellent choice for those on a budget. Additionally, their five-day free trial sets them apart as the best online course option in Missouri. With this trial period, you can explore the classes firsthand without any obligations or questions asked, providing you with the opportunity to make an informed decision before making a commitment.

Plus, this is one of the courses available for our Tuition Reimbursement program, which is a big help. All you have to do is attend at least 1 interview with one of our recruiters (+ provide feedback) after passing the state exam & before joining another brokerage, and we’ll reimburse you for the entire cost of the course that you purchase from us.

When selecting a package for The CE Shop’s online real estate course in Missouri, I highly recommend considering the “Premium” package for its valuable bonuses. One standout feature of the Premium package is the Pass Guarantee, which offers additional peace of mind. With this guarantee, you are provided with an insurance policy that protects your investment in case you don’t pass the exam on your first attempt.

Convenience: 4.8 out 5. The CE Shop’s online real estate course in Missouri stands out for its user-friendly interface, which greatly enhances the learning experience. The specially designed online learning platform is accessible across different devices, including tablets, desktops, and phones, allowing you the convenience of studying wherever you are. This flexibility is particularly advantageous for individuals with busy schedules who can make the most of their downtime by accessing the course materials.

Upon logging in, the dashboard provides a clear and organized overview of your progress in the course. It allows you to easily track how far you’ve come and which lessons are remaining, enabling you to plan your study schedule effectively. The ability to skip ahead or review previous material at any time adds to the flexibility and customization of the learning experience.

The course content itself is thoughtfully curated, combining various multimedia elements such as videos, infographics, and interactive quizzes. This diverse mix of resources keeps the learning engaging and interactive, catering to different learning styles. Whether you prefer watching videos, visualizing concepts through infographics, or testing your knowledge with interactive quizzes, The CE Shop offers a well-rounded learning experience.

Pass Rate: 4.7 out 5. Missouri’s real estate exam is a toughy. Only 35% of students go on to pass their real estate exam on the first try, which is one of the lowest rates in the country. And while it might not sound impressive, The CE Shop has the same rate of student success. Again, 35% may not sound high, but there are a ton of schools in Missouri which a much lower rate. It’s also important to note that The CE Shop has more students enrolled than any other online real estate school. This is a good metric to pay attention to when selecting a school, because passing is the whole point, right?

Course Duration: 4.6 out of 5. The CE Shop understands that learners may require additional time to complete their real estate course in Missouri. To accommodate this, they offer a generous extension policy. The initial access period is valid for 6 months from the date of purchase, allowing ample time to progress through the course content.

In addition, The CE Shop provides a free one-month extension, which can be accessed without any additional charges. This extension gives students an extra month to complete the course if they need more time.

However, after the initial 6-month access period and the free one-month extension, there is a fee for reactivation or further extensions. The cost for reactivation or each subsequent 30-day extension amounts to 20% of the current retail price of the course. This policy ensures that students have the option to extend their access if needed, albeit at an additional cost.

Support: 4.7 out of 5. The CE Shop prides itself on offering exceptional customer support to its students. Their support team is readily available seven days a week, ensuring that students can receive assistance when they need it. Whether it’s through phone, chat, or email, learners have multiple channels to reach out and seek guidance.

The accessibility and responsiveness of the support staff contribute to a positive learning experience. Their ability to promptly address inquiries and provide clear guidance helps students navigate through the course effectively. Even when immediate answers are not readily available, the support team takes note of the inquiry and ensures a satisfactory response within a day or two. This level of attentiveness and commitment to resolving student concerns is commendable.

Refund Policy: 4.8 out of 5. The CE Shop’s 5-day free trial is indeed a standout benefit for prospective students. This feature sets them apart from other real estate schools in Missouri by allowing individuals to explore the course without the need for upfront credit card information. This gives potential students the opportunity to test drive the classes and get a feel for the course content and learning platform before making a commitment. The absence of financial obligations during the trial period provides a risk-free experience, making it an attractive option for those who are uncertain about enrolling in an online course.

Regarding the refund policy, The CE Shop follows a standard offering that is comparable to other reputable real estate schools like Colibri Real Estate. They provide a full refund within the first month of enrollment if the student has not completed more than half of the course. This aligns with the industry norm and ensures that students have the opportunity to assess the course and decide if it meets their needs and expectations.

Overall Value & Recommended Package: Overall, if I could only recommend one course in Alabama, it would be The CE Shop. It’s simple to navigate, and will help to prepare you for the real estate exam. I’d suggest taking a look at the Premium package because the extra perks like the pass guarantee make it a better overall value. It also comes with career resource books written by experts, and business building courses which are a huge help even after you pass the test and begin your new career.

Most Flexible Online Real Estate School: Colibri Real Estate

A
Top Features: Several packages to choose from, lots of practice exams
Starting at $379 $265

Colibri Real Estate’s course stands out with its refund policy in Missouri, offering a Pass or Don’t Pay Guarantee, a course swap option, and the opportunity to demo the student dashboard before making a payment. This comprehensive refund policy provides students with the assurance that they will receive a refund if they don’t pass the course or change their mind. It’s a valuable feature for those who are uncertain about committing to real estate school and want the flexibility to explore their options.

In terms of pricing, Colibri Real Estate does fall on the higher end of the spectrum compared to other real estate schools. However, they offer four different packages with varying price ranges ($265-$450), allowing students to choose the package that best fits their needs and budget. The availability of different packages gives students the opportunity to add additional features and resources as desired. Additionally, Colibri Real Estate often runs discounts and sales, providing potential savings for students.

Considering both the refund policy and pricing options, Colibri Real Estate provides a comprehensive package that aims to meet the needs and preferences of students. The Pass or Don’t Pay Guarantee and course swap option offer additional value and peace of mind, making it a favorable choice for individuals who are considering a career in real estate and want the best chance of getting their money back if circumstances change.

See Pricing

Convenience: 4.6 out 5. Colibri offers consistent course content across all its packages, ensuring that students receive study guides and coaching videos from Buffini & Company. These coaching videos provide valuable real-world examples of situations and questions commonly encountered in the real estate industry. This inclusion adds significant value to the overall course material, as it enhances the learning experience and prepares students for practical scenarios they may face.

For students seeking comprehensive test preparation, access to live Q&A sessions, and simulated exams, upgrading to one of the more premium packages is recommended. While the basic, more affordable package can still help you meet your goals, the premium options provide additional resources and features that cater to different learning styles and preferences.

One notable feature that sets Colibri apart is the “readiness assessment.” This assessment evaluates your preparedness for the real estate exam and assigns a score ranging from 1 to 10. This score helps you gauge your readiness and make an informed decision on whether to continue studying or proceed with signing up for the exam. This personalized assessment is a valuable tool for self-assessment and determining the appropriate next steps in your real estate education journey.

Pass Rate: 4.2 out 5. Colibri’s pass rate amongst Missouri students is just slightly below the state average. About 34% of Colibri students go on to pass the state exam, and they’ve helped more than 520,000 aspiring agents get their real estate license in Missouri. That being said, it’s not the highest pass rate on our list of schools, so you can certainly find a school (for a cheaper price) that will prepare you for the test in a more interactive way.

Course Duration: 4.5 out of 5. Colibri understands that some students may require additional time to complete their pre-licensing course in Missouri. To accommodate this, they offer flexible course access extensions. You have the option to select a 7, 30, or 60-day extension, with the prices increasing for longer durations. This allows you to tailor your learning schedule according to your availability and avoid any unnecessary rush.

In addition, Colibri provides a “retake” option that allows you to restart the course at a discounted price of $25. This can be beneficial if you feel the need to review the material or want to start fresh after completing a previous attempt. It offers added flexibility and ensures that you have the opportunity to fully grasp the course content and succeed in your real estate education.

It’s worth noting that the initial access to the course is valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. If you require more time beyond this period, you can explore the available extensions to continue your studies. While the 6-month access duration may seem limited for some, Colibri’s extension options provide a generous policy compared to other real estate schools.

Support: 4.6 out of 5. Colibri offers excellent customer support through various channels such as phone, live chat, and social media. Their responsive and knowledgeable team promises prompt assistance for all enrolled students, creating a supportive learning environment.

Colibri goes a step further by providing a “live education specialist” available via live chat. This offers real-time support and makes sure that you have answers to any questions or concerns you may have. It’s impressive that they responded to you within seconds and when I chatted, I personally received a long list of resources, showcasing their commitment to delivering timely and helpful support.

Refund Policy: 4.6 out of 5. Colibri Real Estate offers a refund policy that provides flexibility and safeguards for students. For self-paced online courses, a 100% refund is available within the first week of enrollment if the course is not satisfactory. Additionally, if the course has not been started, a full refund can be requested within a month. The livestream package allows a 24-hour window for changing the decision or switching to an online-only format, ensuring options for refunds if needed.

Overall Value & Recommended Package: I would recommend Colibri’s Missouri pre-licensing course. For aspiring agents, I’d suggest taking a look at the Ultimate Learning package. The extra perks like the career success tools, the coaching videos, and the CompuCram Exam Prep make it a great value that will help you find success long after you finish your real estate course.

Quickest Online Real Estate School: RealEstateU

B+
realestateu
Top Features: Self-paced, affordable courses
Starting at $249 $199

RealEstateU is the cheapest course available in Missouri. It’s the only course in the state that is less than $200, and frankly, it shows. While you can save a few dollars, you also won’t get the same benefits the other courses provide. Because it’s very run of the mill, RealEstateU should only be considered if you are on a tight budget, or looking for a quick solution to get your real estate license.

That being said, if you are on a tight budget and don’t have the extra money to spend, the course can get the job done if you put in the effort. I found the information was a little harder to retain in the text-heavy format (there are NO interactive games or quizzes AT ALL!) But, RealEstateU does makes it really easy to study at your own pace, and you can access the course on the go.

See Pricing

Convenience: 4.3 out 5. RealEstateU offers OnDemand lessons that are entirely online and can be accessed at any time using a computer, smartphone, or tablet. The audio tutorials, ranging from 3 to 20 minutes in length, can be conveniently listened to on the go. Visual learners also have the option to follow along with the transcripts of the audio recordings. While RealEstateU may not provide a multimedia-rich learning experience like some other schools, it does include infographics to help break up the text. One notable feature is the progress tracker, which informs you of the duration of each section, enabling you to manage your time effectively.

Pass Rate: 4.2 out 5. RealEstateU has the lowest pass rates on our list of Missouri schools. While REU’s 33% pass rate is not significantly lower than The CE Shop’s or Colibri’s, it’s still higher than many other online real estate schools. The state average is 35%, so it’s actually not a horrible pass rate all things considered. At the end of the day, while it’s not a course I would recommend they have helped more than 140,000 professionals get their real estate license in Missouri.

Course Duration: 4.1 out of 5. RealEstateU provides access to the course for a duration of 12 months, and after that period, if the course is not completed, you will need to purchase the course again. While RealEstateU does not offer extension options, the 12-month access window is actually longer than what some other schools provide. For instance, Colibri Real Estate has a stricter cutoff after just 6 months. Additionally, re-purchasing RealEstateU’s course is more cost-effective compared to paying an extension fee, given the low initial price. However, it’s important to note that starting over means you will lose your progress in the course.

Support: 3.9 out of 5. RealEstateU’s customer support leaves much to be desired. Finding a phone number or email address to reach out to them is not easy, and they do not offer a live chat option at the moment. The only available method to seek assistance is by filling out a contact form on their website. However, it’s worth noting that their response time to these requests is often slow, as they do not monitor them frequently. This can result in delays of several days before receiving a response, as I personally experienced when reporting a site maintenance issue.

Refund Policy: 4.6 out of 5. RealEstateU has a refund policy in place that allows for refunds within 30 days for classes that are less than 50% completed. It’s important to note that a deduction of approximately $20 may be applied to the refund, depending on the specific class you are enrolled in. However, it’s worth mentioning that RealEstateU does not offer any money-back guarantees, pass or don’t pay policies, or free trial offers.

Overall Value: Overall, I wouldn’t suggest taking RealEstateU’s Missouri pre-licensing course, but it will get the job done if you’re looking for a cheap price. For new agents, I’d recommend taking a look at The CE Shop’s basic package instead. It’s only $10 more, but has some added perks like the best-in-class exam prep and interactive course material that make it a better value.

Most Affordable Real Estate School (The CE Shop): Tuition Reimbursement

A+
aceable logo
Top Features: Easy way to get your real estate school paid for by someone else (us!) and know you have a brokerage you can join that’s dedicated to helping new agents build their real estate career.
Starting at $279 $209

We’ve built the most affordable way for you to get your Real Estate License. All you have to do is attend at least 1 interview with one of our recruiters after passing the state exam & before joining another brokerage, and we’ll reimburse you for the entire cost of The CE Shop course that you purchase from us.

1D3AA72C-23B7-4ED3-88DD-535B153D285B_4_5005_c

That’s right – we’ll reimburse you whether you choose to join our team or not (but we hope you do!).  About 50% of our tuition reimbursement graduates choose to work for our team after interviewing with us.  The other 50% of our tuition reimbursement students that choose to join another brokerage still get their course costs fully reimbursed.

Why are we the only real estate company that reimburses your course costs even if you don’t join our brokerage?  There are a few key reasons that we’ve decided to set our program this way:

  1.   Our 50% join rate is way higher than the industry average for recruiting, and we really want agents to be excited when they join us, which only works if they love what we have to offer.  Most brokerages only want experienced agents, but we specialize in helping new agents build their real estate careers from the ground up.  We have hundreds of agent training courses that range from helping you build out your social media presence to learning the ins and outs of commercial real estate; we have mentors dedicated to new agents to help them through their first sales; we even have a dedicated coach to help with mindset and motivation; and more.  So we don’t need to force new agents to join our team to save a few bucks.
  2.   If you choose to join another team, we also hope you change your mind someday and come back to join us.  Many agents reach out to us months or years after trying another brokerage first, and this gives us a chance to keep the door open for the 50% of new agents who don’t join us immediately.  If we can’t be the right brokerage for you right now, then we still hope to be the right brokerage for you some day in the future.
  3.   Too many real estate organizations fail to live up to their promises.  We’re not perfect, but we really try to follow-through on every promise we make, including our tuition reimbursement promise.

At the end of the day, we’re betting on you becoming a great agent, and if we can make obtaining your real estate license more affordable, then hopefully you’ll return the favor and join us after graduation or come back to us any time you’re ready for a new brokerage.  It’s that simple, and we’re happy to invest in you.

Get Started

How does the reimbursement work?

Email us (support@agentadvice.com) once you receive confirmation from the state that you’ve passed the state exam, and one of our recruiters will reach out to you to get to know you and share any and every thing you’ll want to know to decide if our brokerage is the right fit for you.

We’ll schedule the interview at a time that works for you.  All you have to do is attend the interview and provide a little feedback to our support team, and our support team will reimburse your credit card for the amount that you’ve paid us within 2 business days.  All in, it’s about an hour commitment between the interview and feedback.  No other strings attached.

Tip:  If you’ve already started a different course at your own expense, or prefer to pick your own school at your own expense, we’d still love to interview you.  Just reach back out when you’re licensed, and we can connect you with our hiring team, however, we’re unable to reimburse your course costs at this time unless you purchase the course directly from us.

AgentAdvice.com is not the provider of any courses, and all state certifications, ongoing support questions, etc. will be provided by and fulfilled directly through the school.

Think you have what it takes to be a successful real estate agent?

jim gray headshot“When I interview people who have just passed their real estate course, I’m looking for agents that meet a couple of characteristics. If you have these characteristics, it will determine who is successful and who is not in real estate.

It’s not an easy industry. If it was easy, we’d all be rich. First, I’m looking for agents that have a vision for what they want to be, people who want more than what they have. Now, I’m not talking about money, motivated people necessarily. If money motivates you that’s fine, but in most cases, money’s not the motivator.

I am looking for agents that are in touch with their motivations to grow. Is it having a house for your family? Is it providing an education for your children? Is it providing security for your future retirement? It doesn’t matter, I’m looking for agents that have a vision, and are passionate about taking care of present and future concerns, whatever they are. So that’s number one: ambition.

Financial,Concept.,Make,Money,On,The,Internet.,Businesswoman,Works,AtNumber two is looking for people that have a little bit of courage. This business requires courage. In my experience, having now been in conversations with well over a thousand agents over the last 18 months, and recruited more than a hundred, there’s one characteristic successful agents have. They don’t shrink from a challenge. They don’t, they still take action even if they don’t know all of the answers to all of the questions. They know that if they get faced with a question that they don’t really answer to, they know they can find the answer.

I’m looking for people that are ambitious, are courageous, and then finally are ready to grow. I want to help give people the opportunity to be the best version of themselves.

Usually, it’s not easy, and many times there are tears, and sweat, and frustration involved, but you go through that because you are so ambitious and in love with the future you’re trying to create. That passion for your future, it gives you courage to press through the hard times. So if you’re ambitious, courageous, and you’re ready to grow, and you think being in a conversation with a guy like me might be helpful to your future then let’s get you the tuition reimbursement you deserve!”

“I always wanted to become a real estate agent, and finally decided to take the next step. Getting started with my course was easy. Agent Advice just sent me a link, and I did the whole thing online. I finished the class, now I just need to get scheduled for the state test. I would definitely recommend Agent Advice to anyone looking to get their license, especially if they’re wanting to do it for free.”

rachelRachel K.
New Real Estate Agent & Tuition Reimbursement Recipient

“I was moving from Tennessee to Florida, so I was considering a career change. I always thought real estate might be something I’d be good at, so I connected with someone at Agent Advice and decided to take the course. It was easy to follow and understand, and the course I chose kept me interested. It didn’t take long for me to finish the class and I passed my state exam on the first try! I then reached out again to Agent Advice and set up an interview with a tuition reimbursement sponsor, and got my money back that same day. All in all, it was really simple and easy.”

marcusMarcus W.
New Real Estate Agent & Tuition Reimbursement Recipient

“The entire process was seamless, and the communication from the very beginning was great. When I first came across Agent Advice I had lots of questions, but I was able to get in touch with someone right away who helped explain the process from start to finish. Once I completed the course and set up an interview with a brokerage, they stopped the payments immediately. I also enjoyed the subscription payment option that Agent Advice has. It gave me the flexibility and motivated me to finish the course quickly. I’m still deciding on which brokerage is the right fit for me, but I enjoyed getting to interview with someone so that I could ask questions about what the day-to-day would look like at that company.”

Best Continuing Education in Missouri: CE Shop

A
aceable logo
Top Features: Biggest continuing education provider in the nation
Starting at $35

The CE Shop is hands down the easiest online provider to fulfill your continuing education requirements. The state of Missouri requires all licensed agents to do 12 hours of continuing education every 2 years. Most agents are looking for a quick solution to knock these out, so CE Shop is your best bet.

The price point is slightly higher than other providers, but the convenience is what sets them apart. They also have several continuing education packages to choose from, so you can find the right mix of courses for you. For all of these reasons, The CE Shop is the best continuing education course in Missouri.

See Pricing

Convenience: 4.8 out 5. The CE Shop’s continuing education courses are all online. I also really appreciate the custom-designed online learning platform that is easy to access on a tablet or phone. This allowed me to access the course material on the go, which made a huge difference in how efficient I was with my time.

Reporting is also a major thing to consider when you’re trying to finish your continuing education. Many agents wait until the last minute, so you want to find a provider that will immediately report your completed hours to the Missouri Real Estate Commission. The CE Shop has a policy that they will mark your hours as complete within 24 hours. You will also immediately receive a certificate upon completion, students can access an electronic copy of the certificate for a minimum of five years.

Pass Rate: 5 out 5. Passing a final exam is not required to receive continuing education credit in Missouri, so The CE Shop system is set up so that final exams can be passed with a 0% passing score. You just need to complete the hours to receive your credit.

Course Duration: 4.7 out of 5. You must complete 12 hours every 2 years to keep your license active in the state of Missouri. Course expiration dates vary by course but are generally one year after you purchase the package or course. Each individual course will have an expiration date listed in your CE Shop account.

Support: 4.5 out of 5. I used the live chat feature, and the technical team quickly answered my questions and resolved the issue within minutes. However, it’s worth noting that direct access to instructors is not available. In the event of encountering a problem with the course materials, the support team pledges to provide a response within two days. Waiting for two days can feel like quite a stretch if you find yourself stuck in the middle of a lesson.

Refund Policy: 4.1 out of 5. The CE Shop doesn’t offer refunds for continuing education courses. Luckily, the price point is pretty low, so you won’t be out a ton of money.

Overall Value & Recommended Package: Overall, I highly recommend The CE Shop’s Missouri continuing education courses. They are very quick and convenient, and provide a lot of flexibility. Agents are required to take 3 mandatory hours mixed with 9 elective hours. That gives you the freedom to decide which courses are most important to you when picking your elective courses. You can choose courses about negotiations, fair housing, veteran housing, and financing.

Best Test Prep in Missouri: PrepAgent

A
Top Features: Updated study material, engaging instructors
Starting at $59

PrepAgent is designed to help future agents pass the real estate exam. They offer online group webinars, online training tools, e-books, and thousands of state-specific practice questions.

I looked at dozens of different test prep vendors, including the ones that “come with” the courses – and frankly, all fall short of PrepAgent.

They are constantly updating their content as the exams change. While the questions cannot be the exact same as the real estate exam, PrepAgent strives to keep their content as close to what the exam will provide as possible. The material in the practice exams is written to reflect what an agent would need to know to pass the actual exam.

See Pricing

Convenience: 4.8 out 5. PrepAgent offers multiple ways for the students to study. My favorite feature is that you can focus on your weaknesses with category-specific tests, or go straight for the master exam preparation. Interactive flashcards and study guides are available to quiz yourself with, as well as worksheets to help track and remember all the information that has been provided.

PrepAgent also offers explainer videos to help keep the learning process fun. If students opt for the premium package they have access to live online group webinars 7 times a week with a variety of topics that cover the real estate exam. There is a live chat as well as recorded webinars to watch in the future in case you miss one.

In addition to practice exams and up-to-date information on the real estate exam, PrepAgent also offers one-on-one tutoring for those that feel extra individualized attention may help them to better prepare. The tutors help focus on the struggles students are having with absorbing the material and helping to implement tips and study tricks to prepare for the exam. Students can schedule multiple sessions if necessary.

Refund Policy: 4.1 out of 5. With PrepAgent, you really can’t fail. If you aren’t satisfied with PrepAgent, their packages are covered with a 100% money-back guarantee. This sets them apart from some of their competitors, who have much more restrictive refund policies.

Overall Value & Recommended Package: Overall, I highly recommend PrepAgents’s Missouri test prep. A feature I really appreciated is the ability to listen to the information in their car. I also applaud the instructors for their relatable way of teaching and how easy they made it to retain the information taught. Overall students seem very pleased with PrepAgent and their teaching methods, with many having stated they were able to pass the real estate exam on the first try using all the tools offered.

Honorable Mentions

We had a high bar in picking the best of the best real estate schools in Missouri. These schools didn’t make the cut (frankly, they’re not as great as our top picks – but were also considered).

Real Estate School of Ozarks

B
Top Features: Super knowledgeable instructors, good student reviews
Starting at $495 $375

RESOzarks’ classes are different than many of the other options available in Missouri….and different isn’t a good thing. If you really thrive in a traditional classroom setting with in-person instructors, this is the best course available. However, the old-school approach does come at a cost, as RESOzarks is really expensive, especially compared to the other schools on this list.

RESOzarks does have an online option…but since they’re not a company that specializes in digital learning (like Colibri or The CE Shop), it’d be a lot like going to a Mexican restaurant and ordering chicken tenders…it just doesn’t make sense because it’s not what they’re known for.

Convenience: 3.9 out 5. The high price point and lack of online options weren’t things I was very impressed with, but if you really need an in-person option, it’s the best of what is out there. Unfortunately, RESOzarks’ classes largely take place during the day. This can be tricky for students who are working full-time or have a busy schedule. As I said above, they do offer online classes, but the online courses just aren’t as good as the more modern online real estate schools. Because of that, this review is going to focus on their in-person class.

For decades, RESOzarks has boasted about their traditional classroom approach, and they were very popular before online options were readily available. They only have campuses available in Springfield, Branson, Lake Ozark, Sedalia, and Salem. So while they are in more places than one, it’s not convenient unless you are near one of these cities. If you have a busy schedule like I do, it just isn’t possible. BUT – if you really, really value one-on-one time with instructors, and that’s what suits your learning style – this is the best in-person school in Missouri.

Pass Rate: 4 out 5. RESOzarks does have some impressive pass rates, especially when you look at how low the average is in Missouri. What they specialize in, though, is creating connections. They have helped more than 100,000 students get their real estate license over the years, and they often boast about their ability to accommodate different learning styles. And while the 39% pass rate is pretty great (again for Missouri), it’s still not worth the extra trouble you’ll go through with commuting and attending in-person classes.

Course Duration: 3.8 out of 5. The Missouri real estate course is fairly short (72 hours), so a lot of students want to power through it as quickly as possible. However, RESOzarks makes that a little more difficult than other courses because you have to rely on instructor availability and classroom hours. While other schools like The CE Shop or even Colibri Real Estate allow you to knock out a good chunk of the course in a single session, you are at the mercy of others with RESOzarks.

You also only have access to the course for a few months! That is shorter than any other provider. If you need more time you can extend for two months, but you’ll have to pay an additional fee.

Support: 4.1 out of 5. RESOzarks’ customer support team is pretty lackluster. You can go in-person to talk with someone during regular business, but there is no street parking Monday-Friday. You will have to pay for parking to talk with an IT person. They do have phone numbers available for each branch location, but I didn’t have any luck getting someone to answer.

Your other option is to fill out a contact form on the website itself. You can select to send it directly to the “sales” department or the “customer support” department depending on what questions you have. All in all, it was not easy to get answers without having to go out of your way.

Refund Policy: 3.7 out of 5. I wasn’t looking for a refund, but because RESOzarks is the most expensive on this list, I’ve included it in the review. They are really strict when it comes to returns. You have only 3 days to request a refund, and even then you’ll lose a chunk of your money. If you don’t submit a written request within 3 days you will lose your money completely.

Overall Value & Recommended Package: Overall, I only recommend RESOzarks’ Missouri pre-licensing course if you are without a doubt looking for an in-person option. For new agents, I’d suggest taking a look at The CE Shop’s Premium Package instead. You can enjoy the perks of interactive, engaging content, but can also take the course from the convenience of your home without having to commute to a campus every day.

  1. Course value
