New here agent

Pay a lot every month for out dated education they require you take for a fee most of the time. High fees monthly and as a new agent makes no sense without mentorship. You pay a high fee to leave before a year plus -You do the math.

I don’t recommend for new agents. High fees will not change here. They are only here for the bottom line and expect you to run after the. Required term. New agent steer clear.

Time is money 💰

The leadership and management are very supportive and always informative. I like the ongoing education classes, marketing materials, and all of the resources available to help new and seasoned agents to be their best. A mentorship program that offers more hands on and teaching for new and incoming agents would be really nice to see.

Don’t give up or discouraged when things seem challenging. Always bring positive energy no matter how you are doing or feeling. Practice excellent ethical habits and always pay it forward when you see others struggling or need directions.

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Agent

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices has great resources for any agent, but especially as a new agent starting out. The only thing I've ever thought could be improved upon is the branding and making it more aesthetically pleasing to the younger crowd that currently makes up the majority of our client base.

I like the experience and wisdom from my broker, I also am enjoying the wonderful training programs. I was going to say I'd like to see better training but our training has been really great as of late!

I enjoy the camaraderie with my coworkers, my manager, the National branding, classes and support materials. Great staff that is helpful to other agents. More like a family than an office.

They need more more more zoom classes! Specifically on how to use our marketing tools!

I like their branding, and name recognition. Although I got no leads from their website, you will pay a pretty penny for it so make sure you have clients, a pipeline, or mentor before joining.

What are some things to improve upon?
New agents you will get lost in the crowd. They operate on an older technique and you must be in office. I would recommend not going here as a new agent due to the fees, lack of mentoring, lack of Digital power for training, as well as lack of leads. Maybe a seasoned agent who knows they will sell to the point of getting some fees knocked down after sales quota, then yes maybe a good brand to join for the popularity of their name.

The tools and tech resources available are fantastic. The managers, staff, broker, and owners are always available to assist in anyway. It is a great brand with proven leadership. If you are looking for an opportunity for growth and increase your influence Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Premier Properties is a great place to be.

I enjoy how friendly, and how the staff welcome you in the office. It makes you feel like home, with the nice atmosphere. If the company can keep the same atmosphere it will be fine. I know, keeping the atmosphere will be hard to do. We will need to make the adjustment to make people on staff feel like they are at home.

It really is the complete package. The Brand is awesome(Professional, Diverse, International, Top dollar commercial division. The extensive education and training programs are great. The opportunity to work with some of the brightest Realtors in the City, and the management is incredible. Outstanding leadership! The on boarding program for new agents and mentorship provided is simply unmatched.

They should cntinue to focus on onboarding new agents successfully, develop a clear “uniform” program that is standard for the company. I assisted writing the onboarding and training programs for my prior company (Greystar) it was a National program in which it allowed the company to remain a branded force

the staff is very helpful and communicative. easy to reach and always available to answer any questions I have. Love my broker and office staff

that said, commission split should definitely be better. I understand balance comes from not paying for training or monthly fees but after the split and fees, i only end up with 60% as opposed to the 70% i’m entitled to. With Buffet money you would think the split would be better. i’ve thought about other brokerages with much better splits but I really like BHHS so i’ve never spoke with other brokerages. I would be hesitant as I am happy here. Just wish the split was better

I like that Berkshire Hathaway is one of the most famous and trusted names internationally. They care about their realtors and help them grow their business independently.

But there are not many things I believe that need to improve. The only thing I would suggest is to do more marketing in commercial real estate. There should be more classes around that or a seminar for those wanting to get into that space.

I appreciate that BHHS provides leads through other sources, some of which are very good, but most are not vetted and a waste of time. Manager was wonderful but with so many agents, easy to get lost in the shuffle. There are so many resources the company wants you to use, but it is impossible to keep track and learn them thoroughly. The Mentorship program is helpful too.

They could improve on their training, less agents per office manager, and having so many platforms to learn, it’s overwhelming.

Great company, lots of resources.

The Training is Phenomenal there is literally no way to fail as a new agent starting with Berkshire Hathaway from mentor programs to excellent training calendars I have learned so much in a short amount of time.

I do wish there were more group trainings maybe not cut as much into agent earnings in the mentor program but I’m sure that’s on a broker by broker basis.

Don’t sleep in Berkshire Hathaway it’s great having such a widely known brand behind you and they offer so much training on our online portal plus we get discounts other brokerages could only dream of.

Our office admin is great at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices! Great commercial leadership. My sponsor who talked me into joining. Working on getting friends to come over or joining after getting licensed.

Don't start charging monthly fees. They started with a new 98.00 fee. I was told it was for a new program. It is for residential. I only do commercial. This is not right and unethical

They are a really family-oriented brokerage and make sure that the agents have all the knowledge necessary to be successful. They are very hands-on, and the broker is always available. I can talk to him day or night with any questions I might have. He has also been in the business for quite a long time, so he has great knowledge and is successful.

I'm spending too much time & money on marketing and I really want to have some leads coming in so I can work on those and grow my pipeline. I prefer to work with buyers & would like to be part of a team as well. My split is 60/40. I pay for E&O, Supra, MLS access fees, and fees for the county I'm in.

I had a very productive working relationship with Berkshire. The only reason I had to leave was because I moved to be closer to family in Arizona. I am currently looking for a brokerage with good commission splits, a strong reputation, and good morale.

No longer practicing real estate

LD

I'm actually not practicing right now. I'm still in the HomeServices department, but I've taken a different direction (more on the administrative side). I think the commissions are good if you're practicing full time, which I was not, so I think that's the issue. If you're not really practicing full time, then the monthly fee can be a little bit high. They do provide extensive training. Leads are insufficient in my opinion

They made empty promises about leads.... I'm a great self starter and very driven to succeed in this business, but only got one referral from them, everything else has been on my own. On the 1st year with them, I did over $1 million in production.

I've been with Berkshire Hathaway since 2017. However, my license is hung with assistant status and I can't work deals as I don't have E&O insurance. I know how to generate leads (I am very social and outgoing, and not afraid to even go do door knocking). I like the fast pace, but the agent I work for at Berkshire Hathaway can't afford me full time anymore. I am ready to branch out and grow my own business...and VERY ready to be in sales full time!

Berkshire Hathaway has been a good starting ground for me. But the low team morale and commission split has led me to seek better opportunities. I'd like for there to be more support, a better team morale and a great working environment.

I was with Berkshire Hathaway for over a decade. My split was 80/20 with a cap of $12,000. I ended up leaving due to it becoming a bit stagnant after all the years. For the last several years, I have been selling on a part time basis, since I have been in property management.

No support!

K

I'm not happy with Berkshire Hathaway due to no support & they are unresponsive - I'm VERY frustrated here!! When you're training, the commission splits are very low - I am currently only at a 56% Split. My fees are about $140 each month.

I've been in the real estate industry for 5 years and I've been with Berkshire since 2017. I recently worked a couple of big commercial deals for grocery stores and restaurants with them. After being in real estate for 5 years, I think I've outgrown the residential side of Berkshire. I want to venture into commercial real estate full time.

Berkshire Hathaway was recommended to me by a good friend. It is a good Brokerage, but not a good fit for myself at this time. This location doesn't believe in teams. For new agents, I'm wondering if I need a team for support. I was told I'd get a mentor and never did. They are really transaction driven. There's also a broker at Berkshire who also told me that: "You're not ready for listings..." and this was really upsetting for me.

I wasn't happy with Berkshire Hathaway as there was no team network in the company. I personally believe I'm an efficient worker and would grow and develop wherever I'm in. I have consistently outperformed the average list-to-sale ratio every year. Because of that, I was able to get 80/20 splits.

I was with Berkshire Hathaway since 2019. The reason I left is that there's an inadequate commission split. They only give you 60% of what you sell. I left to join a team with higher morale.
