I loved the CE Shop. I just finished the course in 1 week 1/2 and took the final exam the following week. I have not taken the PSI exam yet but with everything I learned from the CE shop, I feel I am knowledgeable. I have purchased books for the state and national but the CE shop is where I have made the most progress. I highly recommend it, I had no issues with the proctored exam everything went smoothly and it was very straightforward, they can see you but you cannot see them. I also purchased the practice exam with the CE Shop. That you can probably do without but the course study guides and quizzes are all you need to know for the final exam.

If I had to pick one thing it would probably be to have more videos and break up the reading.

I used them last in 2019 for part of a Designation. I had to take the class twice. I was not super enthusiastic about the layout of the course or the materials. It could have been the class and not them though. Very glitchy. I think I even sent them some feedback while taking course. Have not used since 2019, and 2017 prior to that. Instead use other sites. Like I said, it’s been a long while, but I wasn’t truly impressed

What is there not to like? Great customer service, the proctors are great. A large variety of courses to choose from also. I have already sent 3 customers to start their Real Estate Careers.

Online access to Real Estate Sales training is useful, but the existence of a course expiration date is a gimmick which allows inflation of advertised pricing. They should eliminate the course expiration entirely or extend at no additional cost. Provide ample warning of the approaching expiration.

The company puts an expiration date on the course you purchased. and then squeezes you for additional payments if you run beyond that arbitrary date. In my case, the course expired in only seven months. I used it for about a month, then had other obligations which prevented me from logging on for six months. When I logged back in, the course material, WHICH I PAID FOR, was locked. BUT, if I paid them more money, I could get additional - but limited, time to complete the course.

Everything was running smoothly until I got to the final exam portion of the class. I wasn't aware that I had to pay to have it proctored when I bought the course. Then the list they gave me of proctors had one that was reasonably close (20 min or so) so I reached out multiple times and no one returned my call or email. I called CE Shop because it said on their website if you are having trouble scheduling to call customer service. I was told to go find my own proctor by customer service. Now I'm already over a week from finishing my course and practice exams and have to wait another two weeks to test based on who I can find. I assume when I take a class it includes the class and the final exam. Do yourself a favor and find a local real estate class where you know where they test, they don't care once they get your $ for the class whether you can easily test or not in a reasonable time.

CE Shop is easily accessible online. The questions are written in English. The cheap price is exactly what you're paying for though. I expected more questions pertaining to real estate matters instead of bugs and soil saturation

Do not take this course if you want to pass! I passed my Colorado exam the first time with Kaplan Learning and tried out CE for Arizona. Save your time and money and go with anyone else. CE gives practice questions that have nothing to do with the tests you'll be taking. It was a WASTE of time.

They explain everything for you throughout your class work. They give study guides for the final exam and the proctoring process was a snap. The final exam in my state was long 110 question with a 70% pass rate. I didn’t ace the final but I also didn’t do too badly. I finished the test in about 45 minutes of the 3 hour allotment. I was confused though I thought my final exam was for my license not just the courses so. This is the second time I’m getting licensed in my state, the first time there was no final exam at the end of the class work you just took the licensing exam which is exactly the same amount of questions as the final exam for the ce shop (30 state and 80 national) not a big deal just a little weird. Just another way for these places to make extra money I guess. All in all it’s worth the time and effort. Just make sure you study if you don’t study you’re never going to pass the final for the class work. I would definitely recommend the ceshop to anyone looking to get into the real estate game.

I would suggest getting rid of the final exam for the ceshop, the class work is more then enough. The licensing exam is all that’s needed.

They offer a wide range of courses. They also offer packaged programs to help with renewing your license, such as the courses required for your SAE. The courses are well organized and easy to follow with appropriate exams. I highly recommend The CE for courses and licenses renewal.

Another bonus for The CE is they offer discounts to help with the costs of the courses. As an agent, we are constantly spending money on courses, so it always a bonus to get a discount every once in awhile.

I like the convenience of the CE Shop to enroll and complete my CE courses for real estate. It's easy, fast and very complete with the current data available.

I really don't think there is much that the CE Shop can improve, it's perfect as it is. Maybe a "dark theme" for taking classes during evening hours, but that's just nitpicking. I've been very happy with the CE Shop and the various classes offered for real estate.

Absolutely nothing that I liked there. Terrible courses and worst customer service. Can't stress how truly bad this company is. Content is written by idiots and customer service is awful, I wouldn't get licensed here even if they paid me.

The CE Shop is easy to sign up for. The website is easy to navigate. The course material is current and helpful. The CE Shop took care of the filing of the certificates with the State so I didn't have to worry about that extra step. This is the right courses to take to keep your license current and the material is helpful.

They actually care about teaching you, not just for passing a test! The C E Shop course material is written in such a way that you actually learn something about your chosen profession. Easy to comprehend and examples are true to life. Best CE course over the past 8 years. Now I look forward to my Continuing Education. It's all good. The examples are good. The writing makes sense. Pleasant surprise.

Don't waste your dollars on courses just to get a cheap price. This company will win your business by providing worthwhile content in easy to navigate sections. Try it. You'll be glad you did.

The pricing, and ease of sign up was good. Customer service was quick to refund me. Was told i would get a full refund in 3-5 days, and they did follow through with this.

That's all the nice things I have to say. There are some major downsides. For example, if you are using a laptop beware...even shrinking the screen to 80% you will have to scroll up and down on most pages. The question is presented...then the possible answers- after you select an answer you will have to scroll down to hit the "next" button. That's ok unless you get it wrong...be prepared for a vague or useless red text at the bottom usually explaining nothing. Then you must scroll back up and answer again....scroll down hit next again. After a couple of chapters I had enough of the scrolling. If you encounter questions that make no sense to you...look to your right...there was something you should have read first, they just forgot to mention it. ??? Why not have the reading material auto populate, then ask your questions and give reasons why the answer is right or wrong AND THE REASON. Then randomly...you will encounter questions where you answer...scroll down to hit "next" and nothing happens. Here is why... some pages when you answer, you don't have to select "next" it automatically goes to the next question. I enjoyed scrolling up and down trying to figure this out. Why would you do anything to make this process harder?

Another thing I noticed, at the end of a section, and test, you will have to read 3 entire sentences to figure out how to proceed. The options should be "Proceed", or "Review". Again why the added verbiage? To exit you have to scroll up and down to find the Home button, all pages don't have your name in the top right corner to simply select log out. Why not? Bottom line, you may have to replace the arrow up and down keys after using this program, if you don't go insane first. I haven't found a replacement option yet, but I took online courses in 2009 that had better layouts and were more user friendly. Good luck!

I like the easy access and flexibility this service offers. The materials are up-to-date and the prices are very reasonable.

Please quit asking me the questions in the middle of my classes... Also, have more selections and some larger classes such as to be able to aquire a Brokers license.

I enjoyed that it was a learn at your own pace with The CE Shop. The resources were very easy to use and the material was easy to understand!

I did have a few issues with some test questions had the same answer 2 times as a multiple choice option but I emailed about this issue and received a quick response.

I purchased SAE course, back in 2019, got through 1 part of it, went to take my proctored exam and was told I couldn’t take it due to their proctoring system being down. I should’ve been informed about this before paying!!

At The CE Shop I feel that the mode of instruction is good and the ease of logging in and completing the course as time allows. I liked being able to see my progress and know how much of the class that I still had remaining. I feel that the pricing is fair, especially the "deals" that are available.

I did not like having to reenter my email address, phone number, or city while taking the course after I had already logged in. I felt, especially taking the continuing education courses, that the exam questions were way overboard for simple continuing ed classes. I felt like I was being scrutinized and treated like a criminal with the questioning by the proctor when trying to take the exams. In addition, I experienced technical problems every time I took an exam where I was having to deal with that instead of having my mind clear to take the exam.

During the licensing classes that I took, the course and materials prepared me to be successful for the state and national exams. The continuing ed classes were good, but I feel the exams and exam questions were a bit extreme for simple continuing ed classes. I chose a package of classes for my continuing ed, so I was stuck with the topics that were included with the package. I would have like to have been able to select my own topics/classes.

The material was well organized and easy to retain at The CE Shop. I am still able to recall the specifics months after completing the classes.

Perhaps the scheduler could be more user-friendly by showing more detailed messages when user errors are encountered.

The program is affordable and effective. What more could you want?

They could improve in some areas. I found multiple mistakes within the material, not enough information in some sections.

I would not recommend taking this exam for NEW agents. I took this course during the pandemic and regret it. Some portions of the coursework are not fully explained well ( math especially ). I felt very uneasy to take my exam luckily a place that teaches real estate courses an hour away from my house had a real estate test prep and they gave us a lot more study material. I was actually really shocked when answering some questions because they were NOT covered in the CE Shop education courses. I even found mistakes within the material and called customer service to report it. That's a very scary feeling when you are trying to prepare for an exam and the material may not be correct.

Certain sections were good on vocab words and listed them clearly noting their importance. The browser was easy to navigate.

The math was very basic and didn't explain further with many examples. I took this course to get licensed in another state and found it VERY confusing to get through even having already passed the test twice before.

Wouldn't recommend AT ALL. The final course had 2 questions regarding math and only one was about taxes. The rest were basically about surveys and lending, both of which are not as prevalent on the test or the job of a realtor. After having passed 3 state exams, I didn't even pass the final test on this program AFTER having completed their entire PREP course. What a joke!

The courses were very outlined and informative in preparing me for the Final Exam and the State/ National licensing exam. I would recommend The CE Shop to anyone interested in pursuing a career in Real Estate. At this point, I can't think of anything that would need significant improvement. The course outline, keynotes and course quizzes are all beneficial to the subject matter (Real Estate). Agents please learn the VOCABULARY !!! It's Imperative . Without knowing the vocabulary in depth, it is almost impossible to pass.

Each section is easy to understand some of the material is repetitive which makes it easy to remember.

The lessons are way to long and I would recommend anyone looking to get a license to take this class. I hate the fact that you have to pass their practice test before they allow you to schedule the real test. and the expiration date is really the date they don't give you an extension at all. I finished my course and wanted to take the final and my course expired. I have to pay for an extension just to take the proctor test now.

You may be better off choosing another class.

I enjoyed the different styles of studying it provided to prepare us for the exams. It helped me understand how the exams were going to be structured, but I think that studying the course content was more effective in my case.

Convenience, that's it. I'd chose another education provider if I were you. Yes, they have quizlet & other tools, however they aren't offered for every section.

The learning is scattered, the resources aren't completely accurate, I had to notify them. The learning tools/examples are too "cutie", they aren't providing all the info necessary in every question. They word things VERY DIFFERENTLY then described in the resource.

The customer service is lacking.

CONTINUING ED - One course was worthy of my attention. The service animals course- and that's only because I like animals. It is boring as heck though.

These are overpriced read- only courses for the most part. Terribly, God awful boring. Only 1 I found had video. I've taken almost all of their courses in Continuing Ed (New York) and I feel ripped off. Information is OUTDATED. The Marketing & Technology class has referrals to old apps and websites that don't even exist anymore or are 6 years old and obsolete. I really think they contracted with companies who paid to be referred in the course and they're garbage. The Home Inspection course was the worst - they go into different types of pipes used, wiring comparisons, and it will put you to sleep. None of this stuff you're allowed to even claim any expertise in, so it is useless to force on you in a course. The Mortgage Fraud Course wants you to rat out banks and buyers, and if you're in an attorney-driven state, it's suggesting that you actually are practicing law, seeing your clients finances, reviewing legal docs at closing, etc; NONE OF WHICH IS REAL. This should never have been allowed to pass as a New York course because we have nothing to do with reviewing buyers financials. The fraud explanations are dull and boring and mostly no longer applicable since new banking laws. So why are they forcing it on us? Terrible people wrote these courses. The Property Mgmt course is GARBAGE. It's clickbait. It's 90% talking about landlords and tenants. 5% outdated laws and 5% ACTUAL property management. JUNK.

I hope you all take this seriously. This company deserves not one dollar of yours. Even worse is Mckissock. Do yourselves a favor, and try finding new ones. CE Shop is the "garage sale" READ-ONLY (literally hardly any interaction or images, and NO audio or video) overpriced trash I have had the displeasure of getting ripped off for.


You will thank me 10 fold if you trust me on this. Don't give this lazy outdated, boring, cheap company your hard earned money. You will regret it.

What do you like about The CE Shop?
The price was ok and it was convenient.. the fact that you could do it from home especially because of Covid.

What are some things to improve upon?
The length of the course material. The fact that if you fail you don’t get a certificate and you get on last chance to pass or you have to re-enroll. The questions are long and hard to memorize. It’s tedious and discouraging. It makes for too long of a time to get your license. I just don’t like that they give you a final exam that you must pass in order to take your states actual exam.

It was very convenient with my schedule at the time. I actually wouldn't recommend CE Shop for pre-licensing because it just takes way too long to complete. It had good information too, but I think they should definitely make it a lot shorter because there was way too much material. I did end up switching to another school and completed it a lot faster.

I thought the test prep was really good. I felt like it portrayed the actual exams as best as they could without violating the state restrictions. I had failed my first time thinking I was prepared, but for the second time, I was able to see the questions I got wrong and study those sections. I did pass my second time around, thanks to the test prep. I highly recommend it.

It was easy to access from my phone, computer, and I was even able to listen to it in the car. If you read all the material and watch all the videos, you should be fine. Sometimes it was a bit redundant reading everything because it takes longer. At the same time, if you skim through the information, you will not retain anything correctly. One thing that can make it a smoother process is to provide audio for the reading sections.

I'm at the last part of the CE Shop course and just have the final test to take. I like it so far. Whenever I had questions or needed help there was always someone to chat with really quickly and they always answer my questions. They give you all the tools you need throughout the course and pass the test.

I initially took the online courses with CE Shop and was recommended by a friend to take a different test prep. After I failed the first time with the other test prep, I immediately studied CE Shop test prep and passed right after. I would highly recommend that you take CE Shop's test prep, I wouldn't have passed without it.

I definitely like the interface of it all. It was easy to use, and all the resources were super useful. I'd highly suggest taking advantage of all the resources they provide and going through the quizzes and tests multiple times. The only thing I didn't appreciate was the difference in the course material and the licensing test. The questions from the course materials weren't nearly similar to the national and state exams, which made it quite difficult to get through.

I liked that it was at my own pace and I found it easy to use. I thought the curriculum was fine, not too easy and not too hard. I did find it a bit frustrating because there were parts where we couldn't just skim through, we had to go through everything and read it. Make sure to pace yourself and take notes religiously, because it will help in the end. I thought overall it was good, it prepared me well, and I passed my exams on the first try.

I thought it was convenient. If you are financially tight, I'd say this is a very good option for you. The information was quite tedious only because there were many spelling mistakes throughout the material, and some of the information was inaccurate. I thought the curriculum was also a bit dry. I think if they were to add more visual aspects, it would be a bit more entertaining. Overall I thought it was OK, and it somewhat prepared me for the exams.

I genuinely liked everything about it. I was simple to use, and I felt like it gave everything I needed to know. I passed my exams in 45 minutes and passed on my first try. The whole curriculum was very easy to follow and engaging. There was no point where I lost interest. The only issue I had about the program was during the proctoring, it was very tedious, and at one point, they even had me put my cat outside. Apart from that, I thought it was a great program. I highly recommend it.

When I compared it vs the in-person class, CE Shop was WAY less expensive. You also get flash cards and course outlines in addition to the course itself. The course is actually pretty funny.

It was good. I liked that I was able to pass the exams on my first try. I think the material was very accurate, relevant and it had good structure. Something that would've helped a lot was if they were willing to provide a good summary review for the state and national exam, that way if we had to reference back it would easy access for us users. Once thing that frustrated me a bit about the program, was that we had to get 100% for every quiz and activities, which was a bit annoying because we were not able to move on until the 100% was achieved. Other than that I thought the price was reasonable and it was a good program.

I liked it, especially the formatting and multiple choice. For anybody thinking of doing this course, make sure you're consistent and make time on your schedule to work on your courses. The price was affordable, and it was entertaining enough to stay engaged. I do recommend it.

Good option for my future and I believe it will bring me a return on my investment in the long run.

The content was very good and helpful. It's decent material, but the questions are very repetitive they could do to switch it up more.

It was great. I loved the fact that it was online. The only issue that was challenging was having to score a 100 for the exams throughout the course, but then again, I guess it's beneficial when it comes to retaining the information. I'd suggest although it might become difficult, stick with it, focus and try to complete it by a specific date. I recommend it. I passed the exams on my first try, so it's definitely effective.
