They do answer the phones, albeit after a short wait in que. The staff seems friendly and helpful, but no one I spoke with actually resolved the problem I've been having so that doesn't really matter.

I am taking a brokers pre-license through a local real estate school who is using Mbitions software to provide the course. I completed the coursework and prepared to take the course exam within the last week of the timeframe the course was valid (6 months). Per instructions IN THE COURSE, I needed to sit with a proctor to take the exam and the proctor was to fill out a form that they needed to email to Mbition. I do exactly that, sit to open the exam, and simply get the message, "The exam for this course requires a proctors code. Please contact your school if you have not yet been issued a code." There was an 800 number on the proctor form, so I stepped out to call it. They tell me that I should not have had access to any "instructions" and what I am telling them I read is incorrect, the proctor needs to fill the form and send it in in advance to me sitting for the test and the company will send him a code within 72 hours. By that point my course would have been expired so they did give me a 1 week extension. Proctor emails the form and I reschedule the test. Show up for attempt 2 five days later and a code was never sent to the proctor. I call the company back again and they say they never received the email with the form. At this point I am losing patience and faith and lose my composure when they *magically* suddenly find the email and tell me they will send the code immediately. I verify how the test will unlock for the code to be entered and I am told "once I generate the code, you will be able to click into the exam and you will be prompted to enter the code to begin the exam. I'm going to do that right now because of your inconvenience. I apologize." and I go back into the testing center. We wait 20 minutes and the email with the code never comes in. I try logging in to click the test to see if it opens yet and the test is still completely blocked/unclickable. At this point the proctor politely asks me to give up this attempt and if I get things settled by lunch he has a spot to sit me immediately after lunch that same day, but that's his last opening for the week.
I take that info, go back to my car, and call Mbition AGAIN. This time, they say, "Oh, yes. Because you are taking the course through a real estate school, we have to send THEM the code not the proctor and you will have to call them to get it." I confront them that clearly that wasn't done even though it's been nearly an hour since I was told it would be done "immediately" because I still cannot open the link to the exam. I get another apology and reassurance that they are sending it and they give me the number they have for the school I'm taking it through. That number goes directly to a voicemail all 3x I called.
I get home, it's now been 3 hours since the initial "sending the code now" statement and 2 hourssince the reassurance. I log into the course and the exam is STILL LOCKED (which means they haven't generated a code at all still). This prompted me to google "Mbition reviews" and the results were disheartening to say the least. The company likes to reply to comments and point blame on the customers, so I went ahead and made a video of what's going on and the "exam instructions" and the inability to open the exam for records. This course was $300 or $400 and took a good bit of my time to get through and it looks like I'm not even going to be afforded the chance to even take the course exam (though judging by reviews on BBB even if I did it would probably still rig a fail {but whyyyy???}). I'm livid!
Anytime I take online courses now I will reach out in advance to find out the company facilitating the course and google the reviews. This company is literally robbing people with their failure to perform. And that's at an absolute minimum. I plan to request a refund and if they don't provide it I will challenge that charge with my credit card company.

I would also like to add- there were several times in the course that I was presented with information that was not accurate or a question would not accept a "correct" answer provided by the course itself. One example of each that sticks out in my head
1) for the 36 CEs required for each 4-year renewal period, that they had to be taken evenly as 9 CEs each year. That is inaccurate, they only look at it as how many CEs were accrued during the renewal period. I'm positive because I do not necessarily take 9 or more every year.
2) per notes taken from the course- "education, research, and recovery fund set the liability to $25k on a single transaction and $75k for multiple transactions. The actual payout never exceeds $25k." The test asked the question "What is the maximum fund that can be paid out of the education, research, and recovery fund?" The answer should be $25k since its asking for PAYOUT and not liability, but it marked me wrong and showed $75k as the correct answer.

Anything else you'd like to share with other agents?
The "back" button doesn't function on this course, so forget it if you accidentally skip a slide or want to go back to review a previous one for any reason.
I found a few topics that don't involve real estate agents to be excessively covered. Loans/lending (calculating math for the loans that are in advanced stages and knowing categories of allowances and when certain lender disclosures are required) and taxation were exhausting to get through. And then when you finally do, the last slide says something along the lines of, "this information is beyond the scope of your license, you should avoid answering questions pertaining to this and instead refer your customer to the correct professional." WTF? I know filler information is common in these courses but there was definitely material that was not covered that could have been subbed in and would have made more sense.

I love the module breakdown for each subject. There's so much information to take in and retain, I feel they did a fantastic job isolating important terms along with key review questions. During section review mastery quiz, the questions only repeat if you answer them incorrectly the first time through, and will only repeat the wrong ones.. Which in my opinion is a sure fire way to make a Q/A stick with you! I'm 30 days in and 28% in. The key is to complete 2-3 modules a day to get through all of them. I'm not sure how anyone was able to sit and retain this info in a sit down class with notes??!!! Fuggettaboutit! Thumbs up and good luck to all those after the real estate journey and this helps!! Yes, to mbition! Yoshi

Creative print layouts for flash cards, otherwise, I think you nailed it! Perhaps extending the amount of time it takes to complete all 179 modules. Allowing for more flexibility for those who need more time.

The price was fair but thats about the only good thing about it. the info is good and informative but over repetitive

The course was way too long. You have to answer every single question twice and the course is so long. I have put in about 25 hours so far which should mean I am about 28% done but I am only about 10%. I am buying a different course because this course sucks so bad and I am very busy and don't have time to do 180 hours to get a 90 hour broker course certificates

What are the best parts?

Mbition separates itself because of all the additional study aids they offer. They have a whole section of e-books, audiovisual materials, and other study aids students can purchase to help them master the exam content easier.

Mbition’s Master Exam Prep is a convenient tool for students to prepare for the exam efficiently. It has over 1,600 practice questions and eight practice exams so students can mimic the exam and check if they are prepared to take the final exam.

What are the worst parts?

Mbition provides high-quality education and a lot of study resources, but their education packages often don’t cover everything needed to pass the exam, so students have to purchase additional study materials, which increase the cost of the pre-licensing education.

Return policy/cancellation policy

Students of Mbition can cancel their registration up to seven days after purchasing the course by sending a request to Mbition through phone, fax, or e-mail and paying a 15% cancellation fee. If you want to return a product, it would require a pre-authorization.

Those that purchase an Exam Prep and don’t pass the state exam can request a full refund if:

  • They’ve scored an average of 80% on the Exam Prep exams
  • Have taken the state exam within six months of completing the pre-licensing course

Pros:

  • Comprehensive course content
  • Additional study materials offered

Cons:

  • Study packages don’t cover everything needed
  • No free cancellation or refund policy

You can have your questions answered by their certified instructors with dedicated support available for general queries.

Some courses have restrictions on the number of hours you complete each day, for instance, 8 hours. With most CE packages at 15 hours, you’ll generally complete the required education in as little as two days.
