Eric

Ohio course was very easy to take remotely. Way better than having to go to a local school in person. I liked going at my own pace. Would definitely take course again. Not sure what could be improved upon. Course content could always be better I guess. Get your license and become a realtor.

Enrique

I'm glad I purchased an online course. Working on my pre-license work from home made it much easier to complete.

I felt like the Hondros course wasn't very intuitive. I paid a lot more than I got out of it compared to other options on themarket. I would recommend agents choose another school. Hondros is ok, but I've heard from friends that there are better options for the money.

Hogan was recommended to me by agent friends of mine. I took the online classes at my own pace. After completing my class it took several times to pass the school exam, I began to get frustrated but continued studying. Today I passed the state exam on my first try using only the study material from Hogan. Hogan provides all the information necessary for the state exam and helpful information on how to become an educated realtor! They have my recommendation

I completed the 90 hour pre-license course online. Instructors responded to all my questions in less than 24 hours. I passed the school exam and the state exam on the first try! Will definitely use them for CE classes.

Hondros Real Estate Course Guide

Pre-licensing

Are you setting out to become a real estate agent? Each state requires students to go through a pre-licensing course, pass the school exams, and sit for the state tests.  Hondros, though very established in Ohio, has programs in other states. For instance, in Michigan, where they offer a 40-hour pre-licensing course with both classroom & online modes of delivery. In some states, the school doesn’t offer pre-licensing directly, but through partnerships. In Arizona, the school provides a 75-hour pre-licensing package through ASREB. (Check the FAQ for the full list of states with pre-licensing).

The sure way to pass your real estate exam on the first try is by prepping like a champ. Hondros gives students a variety of prep tools & resources, including:

  • CompuCram®: CompuCram operates as a separate exam prep company, but it’s part of the Hondros Education Group. It comes with tools such as practice tests that ensure you master each testable part of the course. Students can also take simulated exams, made to match the state’s exam, down to the number of questions & time limit. The package also comes with a vocabulary tool that lays the foundation for passing the exam. Users who complete the CompuCram course have a first-time pass rate of 86.5%.
  • Flashcards – You’ll get to practice with up to 500 flashcards that help you master important terms. It makes it easier to cram for the main exams.
  • Custom Crammer – If you take the crammer course and still need more exam preparation, you may apply for a custom review.
  • Readiness Indicator – It might be difficult to determine your level of preparedness for the state exams. You get a readiness indicator along with the CompuCram course. It indicates your readiness level, giving you the confidence to sit for the exam.

Post-licensing

In most states, you’ll need to complete a post-licensing course in your first year or two of your real estate career. For instance, in Ohio students have to take a 20-hour course.  Hondros offers agent & broker post-licensing in other states, including Florida, California, New York, & South Carolina.

Broker Pre-licensing

After working as a real estate associate for several years, you may qualify to upgrade your license and become an employing broker. You must go through a separate curriculum that is usually more comprehensive than the sales associates course. Hondros has broker pre-licensing education in Indiana, Ohio, and Arizona.

Continuing education

Real estate associates and brokers need to earn continuing education credits to renew their licenses. Hondros has CE courses in Ohio, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Montana, and Kentucky.
