The class had a personal feel to it. The instructor gave me his phone so I could anytime call him. It was easy to understand. I scheduled the exam but haven't taken it yet so can't speak to how prepared I am.

It was pretty good. I just love the convenience of having a 1 week course accessible to me. Having it done in a crash course was very helpful. The only thing I did dislike was the professor went too fast. My advice to future students - get your post licensing done as soon as possible! Don't wait til the last minute, get your post licensing done right after the course.

Online and self-paced. Lots and lots of reading and it didn't have many pictures. I would have liked it if there was some sort of entertainment like videos or pictures, but they didn't have it. That's the only downside, but not a big deal. My advice to future students is to focus on reading. There's no instruction, it's just online.

I really liked it. The professor made it fun and interesting. The only thing I didn't like about it (and I think it's the same with all the real estate courses) is that it's too much information all at once. You have to go through many chapters all in one day....it's just too much. I know the course is only 2 weeks, but it's too much information for all at once. Maybe a better way to do it would be to review the books first, and once you've reviewed, then go take the course. It's not really the school's fault, it's the state. 60 something hours in only 2 weeks is just too much. But it's not the school, it's just the course in general.

I liked being able to do it online. I actually just picked them because they're close to my house, even though I ended up doing everything online. I think you should do only online if you have some knowledge about the industry, but I would highly recommend on site if you don't have real estate experience. Online requires a lot if discipline and the way the materials are presented, there's no way you can read it if you don't have the background. If you don't have a basic knowledge of the industry online, it would be really difficult. For me, the material was very hard even with some background.

I took the Sales Associate Pre-Licensing course online, and had a great experience. What a fantastic program! The study tools are amazing, the customer service is great - very encouraging and professional and helpful. I passed the state exam on my first try and feel like Tampa School Of Real Estate prepared me well for that accomplishment.

Took pre-licensing course. Highly recommended. Fast paced but very informative. I personally prefer classroom setting verses online. Class hours were very convenient.

About Tampa School of Real Estate

Tampa School of Real Estate offers both online and in-person lessons at its campus location. Its primary focus is offering students the right kind of education that will make them successful agents. They focus on “real-life training,” which means that in-class instructors also teach from personal experiences. TSRE is highly recommended for real estate education in Florida. It excels by offering multiple modes of learning. Their prices are also fair and on par with similar providers.

Quick Facts

  • TSRE claims to be the highest rated school for pre-licensing education in Florida.
  • They have educated over 15,000 students over the years.
  • The school was founded in 2007, making 2020 the 13th year it has been in business.
  • Its mission is to provide education that fosters student success.
  • If you have questions before enrolling, you can call or text the support number, and receive guidance from experts.

Learning experience at Tampa School of Real Estate

With online real estate courses, don’t expect loads of videos. Learning is primarily through text-based chapters. We encountered a review where one student asked why the course lacked many videos. The school responded, saying that they found that interactive courses (text + quizzes + graphics, etc.) had better retention rates than video-based courses.

Still, that doesn’t mean that you’ll not encounter any videos. The school currently produces a video series revolving around real estate. Videos are also employed when explaining complex topics.

Which courses does Tampa School provide?

Sale Pre-Licensing (Classroom & Online)

You can enroll in this course if you want to obtain the knowledge required to pass the state exam. Many people choose real estate as a career because they can work part-time or full-time. It provides them with investment opportunities. Real estate agents have relatively flexible schedules. It’s also like running your business, which means that your income is not fixed.

The FREC requires students to take a 63-hour pre-licensing course. You must obtain a 70% passing grade on the school’s final exam. TSRE also provides a 28-hr reinstatement program.

Right after obtaining your sale associate license and before renewing it for the first time, you must get post-licensing education. TSRE provides a 45-hour credit course that will allow you to renew the license. Some of the topics covered include business planning, market specialties, finance & economics.

Weekend Prep (Classroom & Online Streaming)

There are no two ways about it: real estate exams are challenging. In some periods, pass rates in Florida have been as low as 40%, and rarely do they surpass 60%.

The trick to passing on your first try is to prepare adequately. We can gladly say TSRE excels in this aspect.

They have engineered a “Pass first try strategy.” Here is the step-by-step formula they employ to help students pass:

    • Step 1: Complete the sales associate course and pass the final school exam.
    • Step 2: Review the course with an MP3 review program. Audio courses are easy to follow and can be listened to anywhere and at any time.
    • Step 3: Use the question simulator to practice answering questions that mimic those on the real exam.
    • Step 4: Attend the weekend prep class. It takes place over two days (Saturday and Sunday). If you can’t attend in-person, you can live stream the course online. Instructors also provide test-taking strategies. There is a Q&A section for online attendees allowing them to seek clarification.

Continuing education

It’s a 14-hour course that you must complete to fulfill the CE credit hour requirement to renew your sales associate license.

Broker pre-licensing & post-licensing (online)

The school offers a 72-hour credit course for broker licensing through ReCampus.com. It features a mixture of interactive exercises, graphics, and exams.

Before renewing the broker license for the first time, you undertake a 60-hour post-licensing course.
