Real estate pre-licensing

Louisiana

Students need to take 90 hours of accredited pre-licensing courses in order to obtain a Louisiana Salesperson license. Once they complete the education requirement, students need to take the exam, which has 80 national questions and 55 state-specific questions. Applicants need to answer 56 questions from the national part and 40 from the state part correctly to pass the exam.

Louisiana Reciprocal License

Bob Brooks School of Real Estate offers a 30-hour pre-licensing course for agents licensed in another state who want to obtain a reciprocal license in Louisiana. 

Mississippi

To obtain a Mississippi real estate salesperson license, students need to complete 60 hours of real estate education courses.  

In the 60-hour pre-licensing course, students get all reading material uploaded straight from the book, video presentations with an instructor, and quizzes to help students retain the information. Once they take the course, students need to apply to take the exam which consists of  80 national section questions, of which the student needs to answer 56 correctly, and 40 state section questions of which the student needs to answer 30 correctly. 

Students can also get a glimpse into the course by taking the first seven lessons of the prelicensing course completely free of charge.  

Real estate post-licensing

Louisiana 

After obtaining a salesperson license in Louisiana, students need to fulfill a one-time post-licensing course within 180 days. Approved by the LREC & ARELLO, the 45-hour course offered by Bob Brooks School covers real estate topics needed to fulfill the requirement. It comes with a 60-day subscription period and has all reading materials, PowerPoint presentations, and quizzes designed to facilitate the process of becoming a salesperson. 

Mississippi

Individuals who have obtained a real estate salesperson license have to take an MREC and ARELLO approved post-licensing course within two years. Real estate broker license 

Louisiana

To get a broker license in Louisiana, applicants need to take 150 hours of approved courses and be a licensed salesperson for at least four years, with at least two of those being with an active status. To pass the broker exam, applicants need to answer 60 questions correctly of 80 total, and 40 questions correctly from a total of 55 state-specific questions.

Mississippi

The broker exam in Mississippi has 80 questions in the national portion and 50 questions in the state-specific portions. To pass, you need to answer correctly at least 60 of the national questions and 32 of the state-specific questions.
