I think it's an awesome brokerage. They are a nationally known company which is good for bringing in traffic. Their training is phenomenal, and their marketing is top notch. I'd definitely recommend this brokerage, especially to new agents.

I recently moved to Remax because it is a national company in my area, and it seemed like the right fit brokerage. I really liked the small family-oriented environment because everybody is supportive and help each other out. So far, I am currently doing the online training, and so far it is really good. This is the brokerage I was looking for, and I can't wait to grow with them.

I enjoy the people, owners, and love that they have a big name nationwide. I don't think this a brokerage for new agents, but I didn't have a hard time adjusting because of my 20 years of experience of being licensed in real estate. If you have the experience, I would recommend it, especially because their splits are excellent.

Not enough growth or training! I don't have much experience in the sellers or buyer's side and I desperately need help learning. I had two potential listings, one expired & the other canceled. I had a 75/25 split, but obviously never earned a commission.

I was licensed in 2017 but was not financially ready to join a brokerage until 2019 when I joined REMAX as a referral agent, where I would hold open houses. Although I was licensed in 2017, I still consider myself as a new agent. My broker takes 25%. Hoping REMAX can give me the infrastructure and training I need to really get things going.

There was a truly great support system! I had a mentor so I knew in and out how it all really works. I felt like I was set up for success. But I wanted to be more involved with an active office who works with their agents more directly.

REMAX

My focus is on the listing side. Very happy with my broker - but not very happy with REMAX. There has recently been a lot of change which makes it not fit in as well with my goals.

I've been working part-time with REMAX for almost a year. They don't provide enough help for new agents. I have a full time job too. My split is 70/30 and I pay $133.00 in monthly fees.

I'm considering going on a solo route for larger commission splits and lower fees. I was doing lots of open houses and I would only get 10% of the sale when I was doing the showings.

A high-end firm.

I would say the good part is the professionalism of the training here. For people that don't have experience, the negative part is getting started. It's hard everywhere of course. Aside from that, this is one of the biggest firms and I have experience. They provide leads. This is a high-end firm, so that's why I'm here.

MD RE/MAX

The location and amenites were beautiful. But unfortunately beautiful offices don't sell real estate.

The leads promised were non-existant (at least in the Baltimore office)

My production is pretty low as a part time agent - about 2 properties per year. I really would like that to be higher, but I don't get much support from my broker. I have to get all my leads on my own, and really feel like the partnership has soured.

Buyer's agent

Is anyone else not getting ANY leads? I need leads to do my job. Because of the 50/50 commission split, I only 1.5% of each transaction.

There's a lack of professionalism from the broker in my office. The support team isn't as good as other brokerages.

I wasn't able to sustain an active income with the business I had, and needed another part time job. I left RE/MAX for another brokerage to pursue real estate full time. Fees are high and commission splits are poor. The commission split is 70/30 -(or 50/50 if the lead came through the office). Cap at $20k.

I have actually worked for RE/MAX twice which should tell you a lot! The lead generation and marketing is great, they have a good reputation, and the support infrastructure was good.
