  •  The school is over 40 years old.

Which courses do TREES offer?

real estate instructor teaching studentsNew affiliates pre-licensing

  1. Becoming an affiliate broker in Tennessee requires that you first complete a 60-hour course that covers the fundamentals of real estate. The TNRE commission also mandates a 30-hour “course for new affiliates.”

Covering 90 hours of course content may seem like a tough task. But you can even take two weeks to finish the online course. With the classroom course, it takes about three weeks if you take weekday classes from 9 am to 5 pm.

Broker management

Before becoming a managing or employing broker, you’re mandated to take a 30-hour pre-licensing course. TREES is approved to provide this course as well. Within a week, you can complete the course by dedicating up to 8 hours a day to studying.

Do I qualify to take the broker course?

Upgrading your license requires at least three years of experience. You must also have completed at least 120 hours of learning, including the 30-hour broker course you’ll take at TREES.

Real Estate CE

TREES offers a range of CE courses that not only help you satisfy the 16-hour CE education requirement, but they help you gain useful knowledge for your career. All courses are approved, and they submit your credit hours to the TREC electronically. If you’re a broker, you can also find CE courses from the school.

Crash License Prep

The state average pass rate for students attempting their pre-licensing exam on their first try has been placed at 60%. Passing or failing depends on whether you have adequately prepared. The school provides affiliate broker and broker cram courses. You can take them through home study, online, or classroom.

Other related courses:

  • Appraisal

You can become an appraiser trainee after completing 75-hours of state-approved education modules.

  • Home inspection

You can complete your home inspection education through the American Academy of Home Inspection, which is a division of TREES.

  • Auctioneer CE and Licensing

With the school’s 80-hour approved course, you can begin your journey to becoming an apprentice auctioneer, and you’ll have to work for two years under a licensed auctioneer.

Learning experience at TREES

The school offers multiple modes of learning. Here is what you can expect with each mode:

  • Classroom: The mode suites students who value a one-on-one interaction with the instructor. This mode is supported by the fact that they have multiple locations.
  • Internet: It fits students that have other obligations like full-time jobs. You can access the content anywhere as long as you have an internet connection. The final exam can also be scheduled based on your needs.
  •  Correspondence home study course: This is for students who may not want to study online but don’t have time for class. The school ensures that both online and home study students access help from instructors by offering free phone lines, and email access.

Tennessee Real Estate Education Systems (TREES) FAQs

It is a good school with very few cons. We consider it one of the top choices for real estate education in Tennessee, and they have all the tools to make you succeed.
Now, not to say that they don’t have cons, but they might be subjective. For instance, one student raised a complaint that the teaching seemed repetitive and was only meant to make students pass the exam. On the other hand, many students have liked that they received adequate preparation to pass.

The weekday pre-licensing course takes place over ten days. If you choose the weekend course, you’ll only have to attend for four weekends. For the night pre-licensing course, you only have to attend for 15 days over the course of 5 weeks.

Luckily, Tennessee is one of the states that publishes pass rates for education providers. But note that the school’s pass rate may not necessarily indicate the quality of education, and may only serve as one of the many metrics you should consider to make your selection.
Now for the year 2019, TREES managed a pass rate of 48.43% for students who took the classroom course. The school had about 1210 students, far more than any other school. Students who took the internet course had better results. They managed a pass rate of 53.63%.
