It was the best. I liked that I was able to do everything on my own time. If you are better off learning on your own than a classroom, I highly recommend it. I thought it was a pretty easy program to get through, especially with my real estate background, but it might be difficult online for someone without the background. One thing I think they should improve is instead of printing out their media, I think they should provide their users with a book. I thought it was a good program, and it was very affordable.

RealEstateU was very informative and user friendly. The only thing I did not like about it was the time it took to complete the program, it was very long! I also think it was a bit time consuming having so many quizzes after every single chapter. It was overall good but very time-consuming.

RealEstateU was convenient, and they had all the information that was required to pass the exams. They also provided other helpful resources, and the instructors were the best. Everything on the curriculum was easy to follow, but I do wish they would provide live instructors from time to time. That would be very helpful. If you choose online courses, just know you need to be disciplined, stay focused, and manage your time.

This was the cheapest program I could find. Alot of other people complain that there are no videos or images, but they clearly must not have even read what they were buying. The course is kind of dry but it is better than just reading a text book.

It provided me with a lot of information and gave me a feel as to what the state and national exam would look like. I do recommend that they cover all the information on the exams because there were some parts that weren’t covered. Overall, I thought it was effective.

This online school provides all the necessary information you need to pass the course and the exam. I’m a mother of three, and I love the fact that I can work at my own pace and take care of my kids at the same time. The price is affordable because of the different payment options. Be sure to set yourself a goal and get through it. In reality, it is all up to you how bad you want this new opportunity. I’ll be finishing school in about six weeks.

I like Real Estate U online because it is convenient for me and it allows me to work and attend school at the same time. The website audio is very low and sometimes difficult to understand, and they need to fix the problem to be able to comprehend better.
The online school is convenient and affordable and for me, it allows me to be at home taking care of children and household and run errands and get back online at anytime I have a few spare minutes. It would be nice if they added graphics as well video and pictures, but most of all they need to fix the audio. It is very difficult to hear at times and sometimes you don’t understand what they said.

It was great! Everything was self-paced. I used this online program to get my license in two different states. It works perfectly and fits around anybody’s schedule. It made me feel very prepared for the state exam, and the pricing was great. The only thing I’d recommend is for the online program to also focus on information that will be on the national exam too, I was quite lost, but thankfully I was able to pass both exams.

I thought it was beneficial. A lot of its questions were very similar, and it gave me a really good idea of how the exams were going to look. I felt very prepared, and I even passed on my first try.

I really liked I was able to do it at my own pace. The only issue I had was that the program did not prepare me well for the state exam, I’d suggest purchasing a different test prep course for the state exam. If you don’t like to work at your own pace and listen to audio, you will not enjoy the course, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

I like that it was all self-paced. I would advise taking this program. It is very affordable compared to other online programs. I have friends who paid $1,000 for another program when I paid only $160, and I took this program a while back. I think it’s a lot cheaper now. Only thing I think needs improvement is the curriculum. They should give more life examples and provide more training for contracts. Overall I thought it was affordable and really effective.

It was awesome from beginning to end. The thing I liked most was that after every test, it would show you why you got the questions you got wrong and wouldn’t let you move on till you got it right. I thought that it was an effective way to have their users retain the information. It’s a great program, and you can’t beat the price.

What do you like about RealEstateU?
The price-point and audio features fit will with my learning style. I know there are some easier options, but you can’t beat the price and ease of use.

What are some things to improve upon?
Better study guide tools would be helpful. I found myself struggling to go back through the course and find answers to questions.

Anything else you'd like to share with other agents?
You can get through it fairly fast!

The fact that it was all online was why I chose it rather than having to drive every day to a classroom. I did notice that a lot of material wasn’t covered in the course, so I had to buy an extra course to prepare for the exam. In other words, don’t use the test prep provided from RealEstateU, but the rest is fine.

Pretty boring, but isn’t all school? 100% audio, except for the workbook. The workbook really just tells you which subjects are talked about at which points. There are timers to prevent you from just rushing through it.

RealEstateU Exam Prep

State exams are not always a walk in the park. Not all students pass on their first try. Even on the second attempt, some students still fail. The exam prep is meant to prepare you adequately. RealEstateU focuses on the topics that are most likely to feature in the exams. You get up to 16 practice quizzes and sit for a mock exam with time limits, just like the state version.

Continuing Education

The school has not ventured into CE programs in-depth, as they currently offer CE education in New York only. In New York, you can get a 22.5-hour renewal course, and earn credit hours that will be required to renew your license. The CE course includes both audio and video formats and is taught by 6 instructors.

Investing Courses

The school has up to 7 real estate investment programs. You can apply for the “How to Buy Your First Multi-Family Project” program. It shows you the exact procedure of finding and closing the first deal. Another noteworthy course is “Deal or No Deal.” It gives a blueprint for identifying good deals and bad ones.

RealEstateU Glossary

What is RealEstateU like?

statue-of-liberty-267948_1920The learning Experience differs from state-to-state. In New York, students learn by watching the 75-hour video course. But if you like a bit of text as well, the school also provides a 200-page PDF ebook available. In other states, teaching is primarily through audio courses. You get a transcript for each lesson, as well as infographics & diagrams. Following each chapter is a quiz that tests how much you have retained. RealEstateU also gives students a downloadable PDF of glossary terms.

After completing your real estate pre-licensing course, you’ll have to sit for the school’s exams. In some states, you don’t need proctoring. Upon attaining a passing score on the school test, you proceed to the state exams.

The company has been providing real estate education for over 5 years to date.  That said, because they’re the lowest cost offering in many states, they don’t offer all of the same bells and whistles that other real estate schools can offer.
